Nice hotel, close to everythingPosted Aug 18, 2015
Cons: a little pricey
Location: Beach, village, Lighthouse, museum, bike riding
We had attempted to book the Lodge -part of the Cloisters- and booked this in error and could not have been more pleased. The hotel is across from the beach and a 10 min walk to the village. They had bikes for guest's use, a made to order breakfast and a beautiful room. We were on the 3rd floor and there is not much of an ocean view in between the houses but very nice none the less. The main plus was the staff--everyone from the parking valet to the desk clerk--Jackie, to the breakfast server --Gloria. They could not have been nicer! We only had drinks at the beautiful rooftop bar/restaurant and the service there was equally good. They all were like friends that could not do enough for you.

Great hotel with excellent staff !!Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: The staff and the location are awesome !!
Location: Beside the beach, village area with shops & restaurants just short walk/bike ride away, climb the stairs of the lighthouse for amazing views !!
From beginning to end the staff at this fabulous hotel were wonderful !! We received a warm welcome when arrived, the check in was quick and easy and we were then shown to our room - felt more like we'd arrived at a friends house than a hotel !!! We had booked a deluxe suite and it lived up to the name, great room with fabulous views from the lovely large balcony. Breakfast was served downstairs, day one we sat inside, day two we sat out on the patio with a gorgeous view of the ocean I can't compliment the staff enough they go above and beyond for their guests !! Everyone is greeted like a friend and well taken care of, nothing is too much trouble !! The food was delicious, we enjoyed yummy little scones with our coffee while we waited on our breakfast, the eggs Benedict were fab as was the frittata my husband had. The pancakes are so fluffy and light they are heavenly, I tried the apple pancakes which were delicious - full of crunchy apple pieces !! I'd recommend the Rooftop restaurant, great for a special meal with amazing views but grab a light jacket or wrap as it does get chilly with the ocean breezes if you eat out on the patio !!! The hotel has bikes and beach chairs available for guests to use, next time we'll certainly make use of the bikes. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to this great hotel, the staff and the location make this place something very special indeed !!!

Anniversary WeekendPosted Apr 21, 2015 on Hotels
It was a very friendly place. Beautifully decorated and peaceful. Our only issue was we were directly below the restaurant and the chairs scraping was very noisy. There is also a live band on Saturday nights that can be very loud as well. But over all it was a wonderful stay I would recommend

Beautiful location, great stay!Posted Apr 19, 2015 on Hotels
Our stay here was very nice! The staff was very friendly, and the room was incredible with a private balcony where we could see the ocean. The room had a full kitchenette, a master bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, and a living room area as well! it was a great room for our stay! We had dinner up on the roof top restaurant which was very good, and Breakfast the next morning was quite tasty as well.

Not What We ExpectedPosted Apr 13, 2015 on Hotels
Suite was incredibly dark/depressing. Bedroom A/C didn't work well and kept my us up both nights. Dinner at the rooftop restaurant was a semi-travesty: Service was incredibly slow and then the quality of the food was mediocre at best.

Well appointed second row hotelPosted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Proximity to restaurants; Two bathrooms; Wonderful staff
Cons: I wish the hotel were ocean front.
Location: Neptune park and the pier are about half a mile away. Crabdaddy's is less than half a mile in the other direction.
The hotel is second row with limited ocean views but rooms with great balconies. The furnishings are much nicer than a typical beach hotel. Our suite had two bathrooms which was a nice bonus. The free breakfast was good. Michelle and Gloria took great care of us at breakfast. The concierge, Jackie, greeted us every morning with a friendly smile. Gloria and her daughter, also Gloria, kept our room clean. We walked everywhere. Neptune park and the pier are about half a mile away. Crabdaddy's is less than half a mile in the other direction. We saw dolphins swimming from the beach. During high tide there is little beach but the neighborhood is very walkable too.
