Great stop for on the way up north from Florida. Staff was courteous and friendly. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We will definitely stay again next year.

A second rate hotel and even worse service!
Had a problem with the shower door leaking badly, flooding the bathroom floor. The "manager" at the desk was of little help, arrogant and a very poor reflection on the hotel brand and the ownership.

Had problems checking in. We had paid in the UK, but the hotel wanted us to pay again, stating they had not received payment from Hotels.Com In the end I had to phone the UK helpdesk to get the situation resolved. The Ramada was less than helpful. I suspected a scam. Also the room we were allocated, I could slip the lock with a plastic card because the doorjamb wasn't fitted properly

Horrible stay
This hotel and the room was not only dirty but we did not get a king bed as we requested they gave us two queen beds instead. I also got double charged from the hotel and the manager and the other front desk staff member were not helpful. I had to call cheap tickets to help resolve the problem. I feel that this hotel lacks customer service and needs a lot of maintenance. I did not enjoy my stay here at all and will never stay again.

I wasn't expecting much, but the room was much bigger than i expected. Everything was clean and the location was right off the interstate which was nice. For the price, i was very very pleased. Tes, at the front desk, was super super nice!

Out of date but polite stay...
The hotel needs updates. The pool was out of order. The phone in my room did not work. I asked if it could be replaced and was told that they did not have any more. On the upside, there was room service daily- they made beds and refreshed towels and the staff was polite. The room was clean and comfortable.

Inexpensivel; driving distance to Jekyll Island
Wanted an inexpensive hotel within driving distance to Jekyll Island beach. We arrived early and staff was friendly and accommodating. Neighborhood was okay; hotel surroundings and residents were a little noisy and sketchy. Inside of room was clean, but definitely run down. Probably would try to find somewhere else to stay next time, but not completely opposed to staying there again.

A Disaster
The first room I was given was dirty from the bed sheets to the towels on the floor in the bathroom. The manager apologized but claimed he just came on duty and was not informed about that room having been used. This was a bold face lie because the beds were made and it was an obvious attempt at deception. My 2nd room had two queen beds, I booked a kitchenette but he claimed I did not and when I could not show the exact details of my reservation on my printed form he said those rooms are more expensive than my rate if I wanted one. Lastly, this room looked clean but upon checking the beds by pulling the sheets all the way down I found many hairs on the pillows and sheets in the first bed. Luckily for me I checked and there were two beds which I was able to accept the room because the second bed appeared clean. I would NEVER stay here again.

NIGHTMARE. WORST HOTEL EVER
horrrible!! After check in we had to wait 30 minutes for a key and the keys wouldn't work to the room so every time we left the room we had to find staff to let us in. Hey wouldn't give us another room. We found out later that a lot of rooms had that problem. We stayed from Thursday until Sunday and didn't get a working key until late Saturday afternoon. There was no shampoo, the hotel ran out. The room hadn't been cleaned properly. There were bugs in the room. The sheets were dirty. Staff was awesome and friendly. But could do little to help. Called corporate and never received a return call from them. I will never stay here again.

There was no shampoo in the room, and when we asked the front desk for some we were told they are out and don't have any. No ice available. When we cut our stay short a night and asked for a refund on the second night we were told they would issue the credit to our card - but that there was no one there at that time that could do it - and we've yet to see the refund. The grass outside the hotel had not been cut. The front desk was not helpful.

our room we initially checked into was roach infested and we had just bought food for the evening so we requested another room and it was quite pleasant so the stay was not so terrible just was disapointed about the roaches but overall the stay was ok

Not What I Expected!
The rooms were ok and fairly clean. The beds were hard as a rock. They never gave us four towels even though it was a double room with two queen beds. We had to share towels. Even after being asked to make the beds they did not do it and never emptied the trash the entire 3 days we were there. The pool water was cloudy. I will never stay there again.

Elevator was last inspected in May of 2014, it's now July 2015. The bathroom was very small, the bed wasn't clean.. There was hair on the pillows..the breakfast was very disappointing.. The hotel staff was nice

Will NEVER stay at a Ramada again...
Terrible place -- I thought a chain like Ramada would provide some level of decent accommodations but this place is run down and the service was downright surly! The woman who checked us in was nice enough, but recommended a local seafood restaurant that was AWFUL -- the salad bar was all canned, soggy vegetables and gross puddings, and soup that looked and smelled like dishwater; I'm pretty sure the fried scallops were not actual scallops but some type of stamped out balls of overcooked fish. Back to the hotel -- the carpets were filthy, the sheets were threadbare, and the breakfast room was so tiny you could barely get by the 1 table of seating to get a banana -- the pickings were pretty slim, so we skipped breakfast and opted for the IHOP down the street instead. As I was checking out the desk was not staffed, and I did not want to leave my key cards without someone to accept them. I made a comment to my husband saying I did not want to just leave them there without someone at the desk, and a young woman came out of the hall and snapped at me, stating she was busy helping put with breakfast. I wasn't saying anything that should have made her feel insulted, but she acted like I had and I did not feel that was the way to address a customer. I just ignored this attitude she gave me and handed her my key cards, but HOW RUDE!

We stayed at this place about 4 years ago and it was really nice since it was brand new. That being said, I don't think they have maintained at all. The pool area had empty beer cans and bottles around it, the pool it's self was not cleaned after several storms blew debris in it, and also the plaster was chipping very badly. We also had a run in with a woman and her children who were not staying at any of the surrounding motels, but were local sneaking in to go swimming. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but was disappointted to see that the outside area was so run down. The free breakfast was dismal to say the least, the juice machine was out of order, the coffee was like motor oil, breads were stale, and the only fruit offered were slightly mushy apples. It's definite that this place will be marked off our list of places to stay.

they had to change our room 3 times first one the bathroom had not been cleaned at all still someone's hair bows in there and there where dirty towels in there next room the door would not closes and the next room had trash on the floor next to the beds and when I called to complain all she said was we will try better bye and did not even let me talk before she hung up on me

I checked in and then within 45 minutes asked for a refund. The hotel was dirty, unfriendly staff, rooms not clean, TV not working, air condition not working, phone not working, no locks on the inside door of the rooms. Had to change rooms 3 times. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. On a scale from 1-5 I rate this hotel a 1.

You get what you pay for. Was a cheap hotel to sleep and shower. Bathtub was clogged, I asked for Drano and fixed it myself since the guy at the desk was too busy. They ran out of breakfast the second morning and didn't care to replenish anything. Room was clean, location was convenient.
