Good comfortable friendly base.

Posted Jul 10, 2016
Pros: See experience
Cons: The lift is somewhat small I have to say.
Location: See experience
Stayed 8 nights. Staff very polite, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast room is bright and fresh despite being in the basement area. Breakfast foods really good and tasty, plenty of good choices of continental meats and cheese, fruits, cereals, hot dishes and toast. The free WiFi was excellent, absolutely no problems at all with connectivity or download/upload responses. Hotel decor may be a little tired in some ways but the staff and the facilities generally compensate in my opinion. Hotel was quiet internally with little noise. Comfortable bed in my room. Close to Metro for access to wider Brussels area ( just 10 mins away by Metro but a walkable distance anyway), some decent shops and a couple of restaurants close by, as well as a pretty interesting weekend Flea Market for browsing. Certainly I would be happy to stay again at Hotel Argus when next in Brussels.

Nice small hotel off the main shoping street

Pros: Very quiet and clean.
Cons: Bit of convoluted walkways but that can't be improved. If you were older, steps could Be a problem.
Location: Everything is nearby.
Great front desk people. All very helpful anytime. Near lots of good restaurants that they recommended.

Could be better

Posted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: Convenience for Metro, trams and restaurants.
Cons: Room decor.
Location: Avenue Louise is very up-market shopping area and trams or buses from the Metro stop - 10 minutes from hotel - will take you anywhere. Rue Jourdan ha
I have stayed here for many years - close to Metro, tram etc, and restaurants in Rue Jourdan. However it just seems to be losing some of its attraction - eg rooms slightly faded, no newspaper at breakfast. Nothing major, but "could do better".

Good location, nothing fancy.

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, staff.
Cons: Refurbishment.
Location: Avenue Louise, amenities within walking distance.
Room and decor basic and a bit dated but functional. Staff helpful and good breakfast. Good location though next to building site so noisy.

Reasonably priced hotel in pricy Brussels

Posted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff, location, pet friendliness
Cons: Needs freshening up, and though it's nice to see original art on the walls, it would be bette still if it were better art.
Location: Just off the Petit Ring in easy walking distance of most attractions. Nice little park nearby to walk the dog.
Nothing special, but did us fine. Pet friendly, reasonably near the centre, good breakfasts included in the price, parking at reasonable price nearby. Better than any other cheap hotel I've stayed in in Brussels.

Excellent value

Posted Dec 12, 2011
Location: The area around Rue Jourdan has a variety of restaurants to sort all tastes and wallets. Grand Place is always spectacular, but avoid the local bars and restaurants which are in the main rip-offs. Place Sablon has a good antiques market on Sundays, and a variety of excellent chocolate shops! Don't bother with the Mannekin Pis - it isn't of any particular interests, but is always surrounded by gawping tourists.
For a hotel located virtually on Toison d'Or and with easy access to Place Louise Metro and tram station, the location couldn't be better. The rooms are clean, basically furnished - some smaller than others. An excellent continental breakfast is included in the cost. Insofar as value for money goes, this place is far superior to many other 3 and 4 star hotels charging ludicrous rates, just because of the EU capital tag.

Quality

Posted Jul 19, 2011
The location was easy to get to and very close to the shopping district. We found the room to be very clean, both the bedroom and the bathroom. It was nice that they offered free wi-fi. The bed was almost too comfortable making it hard for us to wake up to sightsee!

MUY BUENA UBICACION Y DISCRETO

Posted Sep 13, 2016
El trato es excelente, el personal es muy educado y agradable, y la ubicación del hotel me parece muy buena, alejado del bullicio y la mismo tiempo cerca del centro y avenidas principales.

Gutes Hotel, Perfekte Lage

Posted May 18, 2016
