Walkable distance to city centre and public transport Staff generally very friendly and helpful But one of the three lifts was out of action, as well as two of the four hot drink machines in the breakfast room. Also the hot drink machine in the reception area was not working, and since there are no kettles in the rooms, this was quite inconvenient

We arrived at the Property and checked in, and after unpacking fancied a quick hot drink, there was no facilities for making a drink, I popped down to reception who reluctantly handed me a kettle and then requested a payment for tea bags etc! Needless to say I did not pay, I asked if there was any place to buy a coffee, not until 4.30 when the restaurant opened, so I asked for the number for room service - ahh there is none - but this did not matter as the room phone was broken as it turns out. I went back to our room on the 7th floor to hear lots of noise coming from the ceiling, after a while I investigated the 8th floor this was indeed the roof top restaurant setting up for the evening (untill12pm) the floor of which was our ceiling and they confirmed this and offered me another room which I took - alas no heating or air con but an oiled fired heater, the back of the tv remote was missing and after a look under the bed I found the missing battery, We had planned on eating in the roof top bar but if that's the best service they could offer we decided to go out to another restaurant spending 150 euro's - so keep your kettle! and lose business. Fawlty Towers indeed worse hotel experience ever!!!!

The location was good and the room was clean. But breakfast wasn’t included. For the room, there was no mini fridge, no drink glasses and not even a bottle of water. The shower tub was super slippery and the shower head was small. The internet signal wasn’t constant. So our phones kept being dropped by ff line. The TV in our room didn’t work. I called the front desk and the receptionist promised to send someone to fix it. No one showed up. After more than an hour, I called again and a different receptionist was very impatient so I told her not too bother. Then at 8 am the next morning, while we were still sleeping, a house keeper opened our door and she was ready to clean our room. I told her it was way too early. Overall it was a bad experience. We will never stay there again.

The hotel offers generously sized rooms within walking distance of popular tourist attractions. An inconvenience we encountered was the lack of AC in the winter, however, there is a window that allowed us to let in some cool air.

The hotel is well located at a walkable distance to Grand Place. The reception is very nicely decorated, but that’s about it. Everything else feels really Old and antiquated. I got an individual bedroom which didn’t have a bathroom door. So any odors out of the bathroom make it to the bed. The show was in the corner and too small. I could shower without hitting the curtain or the cold shower handle. The free WiFi was unusable in my room. The rooms are not sound proof and you can hear about everything from adjacent rooms or outside. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again.

Lovely, helpful staff and the room was great too. It was a little cold ( unusual weather conditions) but the hotel had provided portable heaters which worked quite well

Better than expected
This hotel was far better than we were expecting. I would say the rooms have been recently refurbished and it was really lovely. Very clean, staff are friendly. My only complaint would be possibly the worst hotel gym I’ve ever been in. However, I appreciate most people are not interested in exercising whilst away.

Sometimes very good value, but hopeless WiFi.
A good hotel in a good location. Rooms are a good size, maybe a little tired here and there, but clean and well serviced. The prices seem to swing between about £70/night which is good value for the hotel and location, and £200 or more, which is not! Never between. The TV has no English channels that work, but I don't travel abroad for TV But, WiFi would be handy, especially with some mobile companies post-Brexit fees, but it is sadly nonexistent. I've stayed at the Bedford a few times, and the WiFi has always been dreadful. The breakfast used to be included, but currently costs €12, which I think is fine for what's on offer - bread/croissants etc, cold meats and cheese, fruit, juice, cheese etc, and coffee machines that serve unremarkable but pleasant enough coffee. The hot food is limited to bacon and scrambled eggs in a couple of bain-maries, but it's ok. Oh and boiled eggs.

Lovely hotel in a really good location. Beds comfortable & room nice & warm after coming in from the cold. Our room was on a side of the hotel that was noisy with delivery trucks & dustcarts early in in the morning which woke us.

Checking in was okay could be a little more friendly at the reception desk. We learned about the Hotel and what it has to offer on our own. We arrived at 8 am and our check-in was at 3 pm. We had a 6-hour wait. There were no early check-in or accommodations for early arrival. Everything else was fine.

Nice big room, spacious for Europe. Hotel had gym and space to sit on ground floor. They held our bags on last day and breakfast was good too. Minor issue was that the room was a bit warm at night but that was ok for late December.

Excellently located *budget* hotel
The location is excellent, but this is definitely a budget hotel. There was no refrigerator as was advertised in the hotels.com description. The heat for the room is a mobile radiator, so fine control of the temperature is not possible. You can crack the windows, but lets in significant noise pollution. The showerhead would not stay in place and either worked its way down the pole it was attached to, or spun to face the wall. One lady at the desk was pleasant, but the gentleman I spoke with was rather unpleasant on multiple occasions. No coffee in the room (but it was not in the hotels.com description - our fault for not double checking)

We have stayed here many times, it is our preferred option for a good value stay in Brussels. Our room this time was recently modernised and absolutely spotless. The location is great, super close to the Metro that takes you to Midi station, to grand place and to some excellent bars! The staff are always incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. Their breakfast has cured many a hangover...

The Hotel is run down and dull. Staff were very helpful and polite. The room is of good size, comfortable bed (not the pillows) however does not have basic amenities such as a Kettle - which I would expect for over a £100 a night on a Sunday. I stayed at a room facing the back and it was still noisy from the street and inhouse noise such as guests walking, house keeping trolley, etc.

October 23 long weekend
Excellent Central location, 5 min stroll from Grand Plaz. Very good buffet breakfast lots of options - just have to remember to bring your breakfast card with you as they take it off you before they let you in. Roof top bar in the evening is also a good stop off.

The hotel’s location is great because the attractions are within walking distance. The bad - I prepaid my stay including breakfast for 3. I assumed since I was only given 2 breakfast cards that 1 cars for each day. The next day we went to breakfast and my sister and aunt were stopped and not given entry because they didn’t have the card. I explained to the man/waiter that we were given only 2 but he kept insisting that they couldn’t enter. Had to go back down to the lobby and was told that because they didn’t have enough breakfast cards I was not given the correct amount. It would have been nice if I was told when checking in. I had to go back twice for the cards as we stayed 2 nights. The rooms - was very dated, peeling on the corner edges of the bedroom, not well ventilated as there were water marks on the hallway closets. Also, the rooms were extremely hot! There was no control for the air conditioner. However, they do have a fan in the room which we had to use all night as it was hot.
