High recommend!! If you are going to Brussels then you need to stay here!! Owner is extremely friendly and helpful making our stay and first experience in Brussels amazing. This was our first trip with our baby so everything was a challenge, but staying here really brought relief and convenience.

We had a nice stay at this property. The host is nice, helpful, and accessible, and provided useful information that made our visit to the city enjoyable. More importantly he chatted with us and answered many questions (I had) about the city and the country, which helped me understand the culture a bit and learned more than what I would have just from reading.

Excellent accommodation and host
The owner/manager of this property, Pascal, was accommodating and was helpful in explaining to us where to go and arranging breakfast at our selected time. Pascal did also walked with us to help us locate a pharmacy (on Sunday). Room and toilet are big for someone coming from London and room is tidy and the bed is comfy. The only issue for someone else could be the stairs. However, this was not a problem for us.

After walking up 42 steps you will enter a large bedroom with a separate large bathroom. There is a high step between the two. There is a high sided tub with only a hand held shower. Pascal the host is very friendly and helpful. Even offered to walk with us to Central Station helping with luggage. Would we stay again* For most people I would say absolutely stay here. For us older folks,81and 78, I would be sorry to say no.

Perfect!!!
Beautiful place, tremendously comfortable. Pascal is an exceptional host, very friendly, and good-humored. The room is so cozy it makes you sad when it comes the time to leave. High-quality wifi, which made a real difference for us (my husband had to attend online classes in the mornings, and everything worked flawlessly). On our first night there, we were offered a beer. My husband and I are both vegans, and Pascal did everything he could to find out vegan spots recommendations. He was also concerned if he should get anything different for our breakfast every day. It was a great experience to wake up and have a delicious breakfast while listening to classic music. On our last day, we checked out at 11 am, but our flight was scheduled for departing in the evening. He was also kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage at the place for the whole day. When going back to Brussels, we definitely want to stay there again!

Pascal the guest house owner was such a good host! He gave us so much advice and recommendations about Brussels. He even gave us a leaving gift of Belgium chocolates! We would definitely recommend this accommodation, thanks again for a lovely stay!

The house is in a perfect location; easy to get to the biggest attractions and the train station. Breakfast was delicious and Pascal was very kind and accommodating. It’s not your typical hotel experience. Pascal wanted us to feel like we were right at, he even offered us a glass of wine with him and his friends. The stairs are a little tough with heavy luggage but manageable for less-than-fit Americans like us :)

Perfect location. Quiet neighbourhood as their only houseguest around the block from everything you want. If you're ok with stairs and a bathtub just book it. Note. No more outside garden area being used.

Amazing cute place in the heart of Brussels
Pascal is an amazing host! Breakfast was fantastic and the B&B is in a perfect location close to most tourism sites. I highly recommend and if we go back to Brussels we will definitely stay here again.

The location was amazing!! Very easy walk from the Central Station and very close to the main square. Room was spacious with private bath and the breakfast were great. Highly recommend!!

Friendly house in central Brussels.
Great location in central Brussels. You can walk to most sites, restaurants, etc from there. Personal contact with the owner on arriving and each morning at breakfast and he has lots of recommendations to make for Brussels' restaurants, bars, etc. The only issue is walking up two flights of stairs to the suite.

Best of everything!
This was a BEAUTIFUL Guest House and you cannot beat the service, location or apartment. It had everything we needed/wanted in terms of amenities, and everything worked and kept us warm at night. The guest house is just a block and half away from Mannequin Pis and a dozen waffle places, and a short walk to the metro. Pascal was an incredible host, providing excellent recommendations for food, transportation and sites. We definitely plan to stay here next time we visit Brussels.

Very welcoming, friendly and very helpful.
Carmelite Guesthouse is very close to tourist sights,and the favorite chocolate shop and very close to the Manneken pis, all withing walking distance very good.

Gorgeous room right in the centre of Brussels
Stayed here for 3 nights in January. Although it is right in the centre, it was really quiet. You are high up in the attic-only stair access. Ample breakfast, very friendly knowledgable owner, clean, warm and spacious room and bathroom.

Really enjoyed our stay!
We stayed at Carmelites Guest House for two nights, and really enjoyed our stay! Bedroom is comfortable and large, and the bathroom is large as well. Pascal was very helpful in directing us to restaurants, bars, and sights in the area. Breakfast included pastries (which were amazing), fresh fruit, bread and jam, and coffee every day. The stairs are a bit steep so would not recommend for older travelers, but we overall loved it and would definitely stay again!

Wonderful host, Pascal, is very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared a map with directions and recommendations. Room was spacious, with a comfortable bed. Up two flights of stairs which was fine with us, but might not be for everyone. Charming home, with lots of character. Great location around the corner from the Mannequin Pis.

Amazing location yet quiet and charming
Could not believe how quiet and wonderful the place was even though it was only steps away from main attractions in Brussels. A huge lovely bedroom with well appointed bath! The owner, Pascal, was so very nice and provided nice continental breakfast in the mornings in addition to recommendations. He has been a resident of Brussels for a long time and can provide information on anything you fancy. This place would be ideal for couples as well!

Great location for central Brussels and importantly quiet at night. Wonderful hosts, couldn't be more helpful. Room tidy and very clean. Stairs are quite steep and narrow, however, Pascal happy to help with bags! This is somewhere with character to stay........ much better than Novotel etc..and much better value.

Best, most helpful, kindest, funny, entertaining, informative and lovely host... Pascal...with a beautiful, very clean and very well kept home, located literally a few steps away from the famous Manneken Pis statue...yet it's quiet and peaceful inside the house. Will stay here and only here if we ever travel to Brussels again and would gladly recommend this guesthouse to everyone. Such a pleasant experience and we can't say thank you enough!

The host was amazing--friendly, accommodating and helpful. Best location in all of Brussels without the usual hotel hassles. Delightful and user-friendly experience. The one downside I would mention is that the wi-fi access was slow and unreliable. However, we didn't miss it because Brussels is awesome.

We found Carmelites online, and went for it due to the location, reviews and the look. - Location: It's close to the Grand-Place & Manneken Pis, so perfect for sightseeing on foot. - The guesthouse: a lovely old building, but warm and with the expected mod-cons - The host: Pascal is a great host, he asked what we wanted to do / see and then marked our map with a lot of ideas.

A great hidden gem
We really enjoyed staying in the Carmelites Guesthouse in December. Not only is this a perfect location and a great room with tons of comfort, Pascal and Akemi are lovely hosts. Pascal made an excellent breakfast for us both days, even when we had to leave extremely early the second day. His knowledge of the city was so appreciated and his hospitality and attention to detail is amazing. We won't be staying anywhere else when we return sometime soon. Highly recommend!

I stayed with my wife for 2 nights. Room is cleaned for Japanese quality, especially bath room has a bath tub is super for Japanese. We enjoyed the home atmosphere and welcome by house owner. The location is very near to Grand Place, enjoyed sightseeing within walking distance conveniently.

Guesthouse in the heart of Brussels
Nice location and lots of space, but the best part is Pascal, the very amiable host, who will tell you everything you want to know about Brussels. There is really only one guestroom in the house (an apartment is next door), so you get full attention and service. Breakfast is lovely--the freshest pastries and breads from a nearby bakery.

Wish we stayed away from Carmilites Guest house!
I got bug bites sleeping in the bed. The whole back side of my right leg below the knee had bug bites. I also had one bite on my stomach. Our room was on the third floor and the owner lives on the second floor. Walking and moving around in the room and the bathroom makes noise disturbing the owner on the second floor. We made couple of calls using our cell phone which also was disturbing as the sound echoed throughout inside of the building. Brussels has a great metro system and one day metro/tram/bus pass costs only 7 euros (roughly equivalent to 3 one-way rides). So we would have been better off staying at a hotel away from the central place. Otherwise the room and the bathroom were clean, though there was foul smell in the bathroom. Basically the attic has been renovated into a bedroom. Our 3-night stay at Jackie O bed and breakfast at Amsterdam was so much enjoyable that we were excitedly looking forward to staying at this guest house, but we were disappointed.

Excellent choice. Great location.
We were made very welcome. The location is perfect,quiet but literally round the corner from the main street.The room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh,good,varied and plentiful.Pascal was so helpful with local information. My husband's birthday was made very special too. He even was kind enough to take us to the station when we left. I would recommend this guest house to anyone. It is very special.
