A bit expensive with disappointing food
Posted Oct 9, 2016
This hotel is convenient as it is near the airport and NATO. The rooms are bright and clean. The housekeeping staff and front desk staff are generally pleasant. The wait staff in the restaurant were very helpful.
However, the problem was the restaurant itself. On our first day we ordered onion soup needing a quick and satisfying meal; it took 20 -25 minutes to deliver. When it arrived the soup itself was lukewarm; the bread, on the side, was limp with barely melted cheese. The evening meal wasn't any better, pallid and soft french fries, gooey crouquets. My colleagues meals were misordered. The noodles (sort of Asian) were ok.
Breakfast is a bog-standard hotel buffet with no variation and no opportunity for cooked to order anything.

I thank you for your stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Brussels and taking some of your valuable time in putting your review.
Regarding your overall experience with us, I am sincerely sorry to see that our hotel didn't meet your expectations with the quality of the food in the restaurant. Be ensured that I took your email as occasion to discuss this weak areas amongst the Restaurant Manager and the Chef. As service is the most important matter in the Hotel, we will take the necessary actions to improve accordingly
On another note I can see that your were happy with our staff service at the reception. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to recognize our associates for the job they did!
Despite that issue and feeling I hope you will give us another opportunity to prove the service we are capable to provide and look forward to welcoming you in the near future to our Hotel.
