Pros: The breakfast
Cons: Rooms, the lift, the carpets
Location: The location is convenient. Only about 8 minutes from the train/metro station. The area is dirty and rough with homeless people. A bit scary
We visited Brussels in June and it was very hot. It was difficult to sleep without any air conditioning or a fan.

Clean & efficient

Posted May 17, 2017
Pros: Clean & efficient
Location: The general area is not pretty, a bit seedy.
Corridors & various lifts make it feel like a rabbit warren, but it did work,,, it was practical.

Good location - can walk to the station in a few minutes and many metro stations nearby as well as restaurants and take outs Decent breakfast Rooms a tiny bit shabby but overall comfortable Metro stations take your money for a day pass and issue a single journey - with absolutely no staff inside to help - warning for those trying to travel by metro!

Not a safe neighborhood

A family of 3 lost their handbags which were stolen by the thief in cafeteria inside hotel in the morning within one minute. They lost passports and money. Never leave belongings unattended.

Great place to stay if you're sightseeing

Posted Apr 5, 2017
Pros: The continental breakfast included is excellent. Huge choice and lovely dining area.
Cons: Rooms are basic, one bedside light wasn't working but still great place to stay if you're sightseeing.
Location: This hotel has metro, tram and buses very close by. Easy to get to Grand Place and other museums around.
This hotel is very close to Gare du Midi station and has another metro line over the road. Excellent, central place to stay if you're using public transport to get around.

Good for the flea market

Posted Mar 28, 2017 on Hotels
This was perfect for a one night stay when we wanted to go to the Place du Jeu de Balle flea market early in the morning as the hotel was an easy 10 minute walk away from the market. There is a huge bank of free parking opposite the hotel which was great and breakfast was good with freshly baked bread & croissants. The hotel is quite tired though and the decor is dated, however our room was huge and immaculate with a balcony. The staff were nice too. The location isn't the prettiest but was perfect for our needs as we wanted to be between the market & the centre. We walked to the city centre in 15 minutes or so. I would stay here again if visiting the market again. Probably not ideal for a romantic weekend away though.

WORST HOTEL IN BRUSSELS

Posted Mar 27, 2017 on Hotels
this had to be the worst hotel I ever stayed in. the receptionist were willing to help and we're attentive to our needs but the quality of the hotel was not up to par nor to what was expected. There was some paint chips and mold, the pipes in the bathroom made noise and the breakfast was very limiting in options. the breakfast was awful as far as taste and quality. the juice served at breakfast seemed to be water with sugar and food coloring. the area in which this hotel is located is not the best area according to local residents in Brussels. Steer away from this hotel if possible. Definitely not worth it.
