Nice hotel

Posted Apr 16, 2017
Pros: my room- very clean and tidy.
Cons: the breakfast
Location: decent location, about 15min walk to tour bus stop and a large selection of restaurants.
Excellent room, clean and tidy. Staff were helpful enough. Not too far from tour bus and a good selection of restaurants. One thing, not enough variety at breakfast.

Smart hotel, poor location

Posted Apr 11, 2017
The hotel looks smart and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast was poor. I had concerns over feeling safe as signs everywhere about thieves being around. These were justified as on the morning of my stay someone walked into the hotel and taken a bag whilst we were having breakfast.

Terrific Value in Brussels

Posted Mar 4, 2017
This hotel is located 10 minutes walking from North Station. It is an excellent value and could possibly be rated 5 if not for its overpriced restaurant. Everything else about the hotel is superb. The food in the restaurant is very good as well as the service. The prices are just inappropriate. My recommendation is to stay there and eat elsewhere.

Pleasant hotel

Posted Jan 16, 2017 on Hotels
Hotel staff were pleasant and the triple room bedroom size was really big. 800m to the main train station. Shame it is just a bit far to the main shopping area of Rogier.

We were in Brussels to attend Andre Rieu's concert at Palais 12 and the hotel was perfect for our short stay. We had breakfast on one morning and it was excellent.

Comfortable & Convenient Hotel

Posted Dec 4, 2016 on Hotels
Lovely hotel, food was excellent, especially the breakfast. Easy access from airport and also to centre of Brussels. The staff were really helpful, and always cheerful. Room was very comfortable and peaceful. Once I closed the door, I rarely heard any other noise. Just a very minor point. If you like coffee, the facilities in the room are fine, but the machine does not make a good cup of tea.

Fancy but rundown in a desolate neighborhood.

Posted Dec 3, 2016 on Hotels
Hotel is fancy but poorly maintained. Bathroom fixtures are loose and falling apart. Coffee maker is not working properly. Lamp shades are crooked, etc. Also, long wait times at front desk. Most annoying part of the hotel is the dark and windy and desolate walk from the Gare du Nord. There is not even a coffee shop nearby.

A poor stay. Maybe it was my particular room.

Posted Dec 2, 2016 on Hotels
Let's start with the resturant charging 14 Euros for, literally, two very small canapes with the thinnest slice of smoked salmon on it that I have ever seen. Hotel restaurants are expensive, but that was going to far. The bed in my room was hard - I could feel the metal springs. They did however change it for the next night. There is no thermostat in the room and using the window on a very cold night was difficult.
