Don't believe the pictures!.

Posted Apr 22, 2017
Pros: The staff.
Cons: Lots.
Location: The hotel is hard to find and in between a Chinese casino and a supermarket.
The photos on the Experia site show lovely spacious suites and rooms, this may be in part of it but we were on the third floor, the room was big enough, the bed comfortable and a decent bathroom but that is it, the view from the room was of the rear of the hotels and surrounding buildings and that was only visible if you were 6ft tall with the sill of the 2ft wide 3ft high window being at shoulder height, a handle could be reached by standing on tiptoe so fresh air could be obtained otherwise it was just a square to sleep in, the hallway was uneven and had an old carpet on it. The hotel pictures give a very misleading view of what you can expect and the breakfast is poor in variety and extremely poor from the hot point of view. OK for a night or two but if we had been staying for a week we would have been asking for our money back. The safe did not work and neither did the only coffee machine.

Central, economical and welcoming

Posted Feb 19, 2017
Excellent 1 night stay at Hotel Saint Nicolas recently. Located in the heart of the city, close to Grande Place, with plenty of nightlife spots and restaurants nearby. The room was clean, the bathroom modern and the bed comfortable; the WiFi also worked well. The staff on reception were welcoming and friendly and a slightly later check-out was accommodated. Highly recommended for a city break or business trip.

Nice hotel close to Grand Place + shops

Posted Jan 17, 2017
HOTEL LOCATION - 4.5/5 Very near the Grote Markt, which is about 2 minutes walk from the hotel and the shopping district. 1 minute walk from Bourse station and 2 minutes walk from De Brouckere station. We stayed at the hotel's annex which is just 2 doors away from the hotel, just above the supermarket. It gets a bit noisy in the morning as they unload deliveries for the supermarket downstairs and towards the end of the day since there's a pub just across the hotel. ----- HOTEL COMFORT and EQUIPMENTS - 4/5 Stayed in a studio room which is quite big and cosy. It has its own kitchen with most of equipments are available (pots, pans, stove, glasses, bowls, plates, and I think, an oven too). Has an ironing board and an iron. The bed was cosy BUT we were only provided with 3 flat pillows which they should consider changing. When it comes to the shower, in the annex building that is, you only have 100 litres of hot water and it would take 2-3 hours to fill up the tank again (according to the concierge). They have provided a hair dryer too, which is good. 👍🏼 ------- HOTEL BREAKFAST - 3/5 Typical continental breakfast at a 3 stars hotel. The food was alright. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad either. ------ HOTEL STAFF - 5/5 The hotel staff are friendly and easy to talk to. They were helpful too.

Walking distance to Grand Palace and train station

Posted Jan 13, 2017
This hotel is very close to restaurants and clothing shops. We arrived by train and were in walking distance to the train station. We were also within walking distance to the Grand Palace and the Town center. The room was large and had great wifi, towels, TV + cable, kitchen (pots and pans), refrigerator and stove top. I did not interact with the staff much, but they were very pleasant.

Excellent central location!

Easy check in. Great service. Building has 5 floors (top 3 condos) so hotel only on floors 1+2, so very close to the street. Windows could be opened so you could hear all the local street-life! Easy 10 min stroll from Grand Central train station.

Ideal for a day or two in Brussels. Fantastic!!!!

Posted Dec 26, 2016 on Hotels
I recently spent two nights at this hotel and was extremely impressed. The location is massively convenient for everything you will want to see and do in Brussels. From Brussels Midi, just jump on the 4 line to boursse, the hotel is just around the corner. The stunning Grand Place is just seconds away. Although it is on a busy street, inside the room was silent with a super comfortable bed and modern, updated decor and bathroom. There are plenty of bars, restaurants around, although be aware that it is a touristy area. With a bit of wandering you will love Brussels and Hotel St. Nicholas is the perfect place to stay.

Conveniently located budget hotel

Posted Nov 24, 2016
The location of the hotel is its biggest draw. Close to Brussels Central, everything is within walking distance. Although my room didn't look anything like the picture they have up on Expedia, it was clean, comfortable, and had the basic amenities. The room didn't offer much of a view. The room was not very sound proof and I hear every time someone walked past the room in the corridor. The wifi connection was reliable and fast.
