Union SG V LFC Trip
We stayed for one night to attend the Union SG Vs LFC. Staff were so welcoming and supportive especially as I’m in a wheelchair nothing was any trouble including organising a taxi and ensuring it arrived. I was greeted on my return last night as the taxi drooped me off and was helped into the hotel. Please give my thanks to all staff especially the Italian man on the desk.

Close to the metro which takes about 25 mins to the centre of Brussels. Rooms were basic but clean, beds had a foam mattress topper that kept moving every time you sat on it. Bathroom was clean but no extractor fan. Breakfast buffet was good, the evening buffet for 29 euro didn't look to have many options, food wasn't labelled so not good for vegetarians or if you have allergies. Overall it was a good base for exploring the city.

I reserved a superior twin room, but was given a standard dick double room that looked like a dungeon. After complaining a different, slightly better room but (hindsight) still standard and no aircon. After an uncomfortably hot night, complained again and was only then given the superior room I had reserved in the first place. They compensated by waiving the parking cost but I feel tricked into a downgrade that I only discovered by complaining over and over again.

Never stayed at an Ibis before, chosen as it was close to our office and had parking. Staff were great, overall clean tidy and well maintained, good simple food in the day/evening, breakfast was average. Room was dark (executive room on top floor) as it was painted grey and only had a roof light (no windows in the walls), had a fridge but no kettle. Biggest issue - the walls are incredibly thin, kept awake by chatting and mobile phones buzzing all night in the next room. They obviously know this is a problem as they supply industrial ear plugs in the room.

Convenient for early-morning hospital appointment
We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to the ULB hospital, where we had an early morning appointment. There were issues with the room door not locking properly, having my and my daughter’s rooms as far apart on the same floor as was possible, and finally the availability of healthy food in the restaurant. Upon asking whether there was any gluten-free food, we were met with surprise that such a request was even possible. Eventually a salad was put together, of which only three pieces of cucumber were edible. A plate of spaghetti Bolognaise was mushy and tasted like it had come out of a can, while a bottle of stil water was charged at 5 Euro. Although the staff did their best to help with changing rooms for us, the way the hotel operated does not help them offer a high quality service.

I stayed here during a business trip. The exclusive reason for choosing this hotel was its location, however, I was pleasantly surprised by the room quality and cleanliness. The lounge area is very cool and clean, however the menu that they put at the customer's disposal is not so varied and also the food quality was medium.

Lovely Stay
I have reviewed this property already on Hotel.com and I still maintain that they must add a kettle to the scheme of things. However, I have only come back to say that the staff is extremely courteous. Ali of all was absolutely brilliant who went an extra mile to make things happen. Being a vegetarian, there wasn't enough options but then Ali came up with the "Ali Pizza" which I would say is a must try and was always hands full with some really good and honest opinions and suggestions.

Great but could be better
As I said in my previous review that the only thing that are really missing is a kettle in the room. They could have a tea making facility in the bar as well which basically means free hot water and there's nothing else to complain. I think they are already working on a fitness centre which is the other thing missing. My stay has been absolutely wonderful. The staff is young, energetic, very warm and courteous.

Good but room for improvements
I stayed here for business and the Hotel is really close to the office (10 min walk); I thought it was great! However, the area doesn't have much to do really. There is the Erasmus Metro station at 5 minute walk but it's far from central Brussels really. There's a supermarket at about 15 minute walk and that's pretty much it. There's nothing that the Hotel can do about the area; so no minus points for them. The staff is very cheerful, helpful and upbeat. I've had dinner a few times here and they do make good suggestions. The rooms are good and cleaned everyday. To return to a tip-top room after a hard day at work was absolutely great! The one thing I am not happy about is that they do not provide a water bottle a day and a kettle in the room which is very basic and I'm going to deduct a point here and hope the hotel listens and makes this little improvement. To some people, it matters a lot. Except for the "Tea making Facility" in the room/bar (such that you don't have to pay for hot water); everything else was really good and appreciable. I must mention again that the boys and girls of the staff were absolutely brilliant!

Nice property, but no facilities nearby.. Had to walk over 1/2 mile to visit a large shopping mall just to get drinking water at a decent price. No convenience stores within one mile, and no bus stop near this location. Room was clean and well maintained.

No need to stay if you don't have to.
Everything you can expect from an ibis. Unfortunately no Aircon or fridges in the room. They provide earplugs in the room because it can get noisy.close to the metro but that's all that's in the neighborhood. The restaurant has limited vegetarian options but a good beer selection. The staff was very friendly. Overall I wouldn't stay here again.

When I arrived to the hotel it was crowded by young athletes boys who make loud noises that can’t let anyone rest and sleep. They were screaming and shouting on each other in the corridor, knocking doors of rooms. I couldn’t take my afternoon nap at all. I could not prepare my self well for my evening business and party. I called my friend to try accommodate me with him in his room in another hotel. I took my necessary belongings and went to spend the rest of that day and night outside ibis erasmus.

There was an issue where hotels.com had only booked 1 room when I booked 2. The initial people to deal with at the front desk were quite rude insisting the hotel was full and they would try to do something. After making some phone calls we were relocated to a different hotel. So I can't really comment on the hotel it self. The foyer seemed nice. The staff could be a bit more welcoming and communicate better. And be polite.

Propre et cozy. On s’attendait pas à payer 10€ pour une nuit de parking ouvert et sans bornes électriques.. surtout que les hôtels dans la même zone offre le parking gratuit.
