The point of staying at this NH hotel was the shuttle transfer offered by the hotel from/to the airport. Two days before I was due to arrive, the hotel messaged me to say that they have changed the shuttle to "on demand" and provided me with a phone number to call when I get to the shuttle stop at BRU airport.
I landed at 1030pm on a Saturday evening and telephoned the number. It was the same phone number as the one shown on a 2 metre high NH Hotel sign at the shuttle stop. However, when l got through, a recorded message said that the number I had dialed was out of order! I waited 5 minutes and dialed again - same message! In total, I tried 5 times over 20 minutes with the same result. It was getting late and I was gettibg frustrated by this. As I walked round the shuttle stop to look for a taxi stand, I noticed a laminated A4 sheet of paper with a different phone number to call. Someone did answer and eventually, a hotel shuttle came.
You can imagine how annoying this all was. I eventually got to the NH Hotel very late. Check in was slow and the staff had a "couldn't care less" attitude, chatting amongst themselves while booking me in, and took their time with it.
During my wait at the shuttle stop, many other airport hotel shuttles came and went more than once including to Crown Plaza, Holiday Inn, etc.
Had I gone with any of these other airport hotel, I would have been nicely tucked up in bed before the NH shuttle eventually came.
Never again.
