After already paying quite a considerable amount for 2nights stay upon arrival we were told we had to pay an extra €200 deposit before we were allowed into the room. Nowhere this was stated on the website or before arriving. After the stress of booking in we get to the room to find the bathroom floor had a white chalk substance covered all over it so much it left a clean mark and a dirty finger when wiped. After paying so much we didnt want to be accused of any damage so we took pictures and documented; The person who stayed 2 days before their menu was still in the room and we hadn't been giving a new one, One phone didnt work, The bed frame was hanging off the wall so everytime you moved or sat down it bashed against the wall, The wallpaper had bubbled in places and was ready to fall off along with the many stains that looked like a damp cloth would of cleaned away, The bathroom mirror was lose and sink marble had terrible deep cracks all along and throughout, There was no heated towel rail or radiator to dry with with limited towels available, No bathroom mats just towels placed down making it very slippery, The leather was cracked and the chairs were dirty marked with stains. I do wonder if most of this would of been easily missed if it wasnt for the fear of losing a deposit over nothing. The security were such a pleasure to talk with always greeting us and giving us advice they really do make the hotel feel safe. Al staff were lovely.

Nice hotel. It was a little older but clean. The room was hot. It seemed that the AC wasn't working, and we had to open the windows to cool the room down. The hotel was close to shopping stores and about 30 minutes from the Christmas markets. The staff at the bar were excellent.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful however rather a long way from the main action. The taxi drivers are not happy about customers using cards which makes travelling around quite anxiety provoking The tea making facilities in room didn’t include black tea, or milk and we had a nightmare getting what we needed, and almost had to pay 20 euros for what should be free Miscommunication between members of staff led to delays on checking in, and a fair bit of hassle. Lovely breakfast

The staff are great but they don’t have cold water in my room , only boiling hot water to take a shower , stayed for 4 days, same problem and they could not fix it. The area is full of beggars everywhere.

BEWARE! No pool or gym!
BEWARE! This hotel does NOT have a pool or gym. It is separate from the hotel, costs €35 per visit and is 18+ only. They are fraudulently advertising pool/gym on the app. I even called ahead and asked if it was free, which the person confirmed. When we arrived they refused to honor. Otherwise the hotel is tired and in desperate need of renovation. Your average 3 star hotel.

Very disappointed by this hotel. Everything was done to have a nice facade but inside this is not at all worth a 5* rating. Absolutely no service, no room service overnight, housekeeping is an external company and kind find Hair in the carpet and bathtub and my door open when i came back in the afternoon. Equipment from the 90s in the room with old purple curtain and carpet. Really disappointed and would recommend another property in Brussels.

This was a wonderful 5-star experience. The service started from when we arrived and didn’t stop. Hotel includes evening turn-down service with pillow chocolates, treats upon arrival, good security, a beautifully maintained building and a good breakfast. Our rooms (we had two adjoining mid-level for our family of 5) were luxuriously large with opulent bathrooms (tub and shower), Nespresso machines, and a beautiful view through huge windows. My only complaint was that the pool was for 18 only - which I didn’t see anywhere upon booking. The pool was one of the reasons we chose the property, but the rooms and grandness made up for it.

I've stayed here twice now for several days each time. The hotel is very nice inside, the rooms are spacious, clean, amd very comfortable. The restaurant has amazing food, ask for their Belgian dishes on the menu. Also try a massage in the spa.

Although the hotel entrance and lobby is very beautiful, when it comes to the room the cleanliness level is very low, stains on the carpets and the towels have stains. We had to ask to change the towels on arrival because of stains. We didn’t allow house keeping during our stay because we saw that they use the same towel to wipe everything in the room. The hotel room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bathroom was very large. The cleaning staff forgot something every day and had to be called (towels). There is a "pillow menu" which sounds wonderful but we tried each day to order one and none were available. The concierge was never at their desk and the reception kept sending me there with questions. Close to metro transit. Close to many good restaurants.
