Pleasant haven in central old-town Bucharest

Posted Feb 24, 2017
Location: Near underground station, walking distance to Parliament palace and other sights.
The hotel is an ideal base for staying in Bucharest, in the middle of the old town and close to one of the main underground stations. Hotel staff were always helpful, efficient and courteous.

Great location but ...

Posted Dec 2, 2016
In the Centru but with a snarling busybody who was obviously oggling for a tip, and difficult to find parking with a schlep to the hotel. Rooms with no outside window and very high heat.

Clean, attractive hotel in great location

Posted Nov 7, 2016 on Hotels
Paid 125 pound for 2 nights for 2 people. Thought that was pretty good value for such a nice hotel. Only downside was drinks were expensive at hotel bar and breakfast wasnt the best. But otherwise really happy with everything.

Great location

Location: Right in the heart of Bucharest. Within walking distance from a lot of the tourist attractions and popular areas.
Good hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. It was clean. Downside is the toiletries. Not sure if it's the same for all hotels in Romania but they only had soap, shampoo/conditioner and shower caps.

Excellent location at the doorstep of the old town

Posted Oct 17, 2016
The location of this hotel could not be better. Steps away from the old town but yet very handy to all major city sights. We had a room with views over the city- a bit noisy at times but really appreciated the aspect. Staff were very helpful, buffet breakfast was delicious...will recommend to our friends.

Hotel is nothing like pictures!

Posted Oct 4, 2016
Pros: Lcation
Cons: The room, the noise, the prison like atmosphere, the staff.
Location: Right at edge of the old city.
Pros- Location Cons. We booked a shuttle through hotel which never showed up. ( hotel sent them at wrong time) Hotel charges 27 euros for shuttle, a cab cost 13 euros. Our room was an inner room. The air conditioning did not work correctly . The bathroom was for a handicapped person, so the mirror was set for wheel chair and could not be adjust higher than neck level, the shower was nothing like any of the pictures and had a cheap shower curtain that was 8 inches to long. The noise was absurd! Extremely loud chatter all night from guests and staff . The room itself looked like a prison room because on the lacks of Windows .any Windows looked into the inside of the lobby, so you had to keep the windows closed and the curtains drawn, unless you were an exhibitionist. We ask to Change room and were told there were none but when we checked online, turns out there were rooms available. I would avoid this hotel .

Pros: It has a lift! Staff are friendly, courteous and most helpful including in the restaurant. The meals are delicious. The rooms are a good size, clean.
Cons: Traffic noise outside, thousands of cars, many using horns. Closing the window/door almost completely stops the noise (it's not the hotel's fault!).
Location: The Old City has cobblestone streets without much through traffic, very interesting historical sites, a variety of restaurants and shopping.
Modern elegance in an Old City, great service from a wonderful staff crew, excellent meals at Mica Elvetie (with 20% off for hotel visitors) with affordable room service, close to transport services so no need for a car, and the Old City is really interesting to explore.
