Just the basics, but lots of space in BuckheadPosted Jun 4, 2017 on Hotels
This hotel is an older property that seems out of place with the fancy Buckhead neighborhood that has sprung up around it. However, it's a good value for what you get, which is a full double suite of two queen bedrooms each with their own TV and bathroom. There's also an smallish kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, along with a fold out couch. It was great to have that space for our family to spread out in. It felt more like a small apartment than a hotel room, really. The couch and chairs have a sort of commercial vinyl covering, and the carpet seems older but was clean. The bathrooms were also older, but functional. The building is designed in that early 80's slab of concrete and dark brown wood design that is depressing in an industrial sort of way. The doors open up to the outside, motel style. The exterior stairs can be noisy, as was the case our first night there when lot of teenagers were stampeding up and down the stairs late at night. It wasn't the hotel staff's fault, but that's just how it's built. The pool is very small. Indeed the whole courtyard in the middle wasn't really an inviting place. Breakfasts were decent and had hot food. The food was middle of the road compared to other hotels. Bottom line: the hotel is usable and a good option for the value offered by that much space. However, it's certainly not what I'd call a luxury space. If you need something with more stars, there are dozens of places in the area that can accommodate you.

Good value, good location.
Great room and overnight stay, poor breakfastPosted May 29, 2017 on Hotels
Check in and out wete both easy, and both employees were incredibly personable. The room was spacious and clean, with tvs in the separated living room and bedroom. We walked to a nice dinner restaurant. Breakfast has very limited seating. There was sausage, eggs, biscuits, pancakes, and cereal. No bacon, gravy or things you get at other hotels. I had a small scoop of eggs, and jelly on 2 biscuits. I wondered why I even did that. Beyond the breakfast, the hotel was nice and also quiet. We didn't swim, but the pool/area looked clean.

The too felt dirty. The trash in the kitchen wasn't emptied, the floors looked dirty, there was trash underneath the bed. The walls, doors and furniture need to be replaced or deeply cleansed. The couch had a rip in it and the lighting was terrible (now I know why).
