This hotel is full of character-low beams and wonky floors! Our room was jawdroppingly beautiful and exactly what we wanted to experience. The bathroom was...well, just wow! The staff were fabulous and the breakfast was great. Didn't want to leave!
A fantastic weekend by the river. Very helpful and attentive staff. I cannot recommend the hotel enough.. This was our second visit and will definitely be visiting again. Only thought, pay the upgrade for a river view room, worth every penny and makes the break.
The hotel is in a superb rural location and has a huge field alongside. The room we were given was on the ground floor with a door that gave direct access out to the field that was great for our dog. There are two disabled parking bays nearest the main entrance and reception with a ramp alongside ...
The only criticism of the hotel was the state of the coffee cups in the room. The cups had tide marks around the rims of them as if they had not been washed properly. Apart from that, everything was fine. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was large. There was a lot of traffic noise, as our room was ...
I suspect the management have not got a grip of the little routines and systems necessary to, make the hotel work smoothly. Our 3 separate. Contacts with different members of staff were all settled in a satisfactory and helpful manner.
The evening before our arrival we received a message to say that there was an event in the High Street on Sunday which would lead to road closures, and we were given an alternative route. We arrived much later then intended after a frustrating journey. We were taken care of straight away, shown to ...
Fabulous looking building set in beautiful grounds. Attentive and welcoming staff with lovely decor and atmosphere. Cosy room with view of the beautiful garden. Food fabulous, beautifully prepared and presented. Good wine list.
Upon turning into the long driveway, you then get to see this ‘Palace’ at the end, which is awe inspiring! It is a beautiful hotel to stay at, with only about 40 rooms. You are made to feel special the minute you walk in. The staff cover every details and nothing is too hard, any request. The main ...
Given the age of the hotel every thing was fine and quieter than expected. Needs a little updating as a bit tired. Staff were very friendly and Breakfast was really good...
Welcomed perfectly on arrival by a most informative and friendly 'butler' Room superb and great views of the grounds Bar was excellent and the many living rooms and library are excellent to enjoy and read in The grounds are outstanding and very well looked after Breakfast superb and complimentary ...
Having arrived early the staff were only too pleased to help us and we were quickly booked into our room which was comfortable although lacking a little as only one chair for two people yet we had no idea beds were made so large and comfy, at 7ft wide it was magnificent and we thought couldn't be ...
The hotel has character , no real issues I could see . I didn't try the food but there were others who seemed to be liking it . I did like the reception on the staircase. Very strange.
Really enjoyed the traditional pub experience. Great bar with good selection of ales. Staff very friendly and welcoming. My room was very comfortable, good value. The pub has beautiful out door areas. On a very attractive Street of terraced cottages just a few minutes stroll to Amersham town centre ...
Room was very nice with sufficient amenities. Bed was comfortable too. We had dinner there and it was a bit fancy but really good. The waiters and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good too. Would recommend this place.
We stayed here for a visit to the Harry Potter studio tour. Helpful staff, comfy bed, plenty of room for family of 5 and beds all set up ready (didn't have to ask again for travel cot on arrival as often happens), super breakfast. Would recommend.
