Lovely characterful property, room & public areas warm & comfortable, staff charming & friendly, Valentines evening meal in restaurant delicious but not cheap! Breakfast buffet standard but with very good cooked to order option. Loved the open fires on a very cold, wet night.

Was here for a wedding reception. Nice room. Mentioned that the radiator in the bathroom was cold and the fault was rectified immediately. Receptionist was lovely and even lent us a broom to help clear the snow from our car.

Room and service were exemplary. Dining experience were excellent. Beautiful house with wonderful history. Grounds, maintained by the National Trust, were fantastic. Booked for a special occasion and did not feel let down. From the moment of turning up the drive and viewing the House to the time ...
Easy to find, next door to Waddesdon Manor and no serious complaints about the hotel although the vegetarian breakfast was a little strange.
Wonderful hotel to experience real British hospitality after a busy week in Cambridge
We went for our anniversary. We found that the front desk had informed the restaurant of this and we were given complimentary champagne with our dinner. Can't fault the service or the comfort of the rooms.
Gorgeous historic hotel with all the amenities. Room 34 has a loft bedroom with floor to ceiling windows and is absolutely the most beautiful room!

All fine with the room and surroundings. Breakfast was a bit chaotic - it was half term. Items ordered from the kitchen never arrived but quality of buffet was good.

Everything was perfect! My bed was ultra comfortable, shower hot, food was amazing, I swam, went to the gym, fabulous! The grounds are beautiful and so very English! The staff were very friendly, even got my car for me so I didn’t get wet with the rain! Loved it!
The hotel grounds were very pleasant. The room was on the small side but clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and the breakfast very good.
Stayed here as a cheaper alternative to Stoke Park where we were attending a wedding. Stayed in a garden room near the entrance. Room v spacious with good bathroom (massive tub as well as separate shower). Service at breakfast was a bit slow but reception staff helpful and lovely grounds.

We were staying for an overnight close to the venue for a wedding we were attending and it was a scant five minutes walk away, perfect after a long evening and just before the skies opened in a spectacular storm! Lovely to wake up to birdsong and sunshine!
