We just needed a place to stay overnight. This hotel was clean and quiet and all we needed. It isn't fancy, but had everything we needed.

Friendly staff; quiet, clean

Decent place for a couple of nights. Bed was terrible in the first room we were given (super soft; both of us have back problems) but luckily we they had another vacancy and we're accommodating about switching us to a better bed.

Never got in

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Booked the room through a pet friendly recommendation. We have a well behaved older german shepherd. We had all had a long day many miles from home. The site showed there was a room available. When we got there, the room left was not used to allow pets. While I absolutely understand this, the woman's impatience about the mistake made a long day longer and she was clearly not interested in even entertaining accommodating us . We were tired to the point we really needed to stop. Even if I could not offer the room, I might have made a suggestion, offered a phone call to another place (though it's pretty isolated there). Her approach rode the line of civility in a narrow sense. She obviously did not want to deal with it: the site (I believe) did not indicate that the particular room was not a pet room. So felt like this had happened before. She did make sure to tell me to contact you so she would not have to account for the room. As a volunteer who works with a lot of people I understand the situation, but there was zero interest in our needs. Linda

Greetings Linda. As hard as we try to make it clear to all the travel sites we have joined and deal with we have made it perfectly clear as much as we can to make sure the guest calls us to make sure we have a pet friendly room available, as not all rooms are pet friendly as to protect other customers who might be allergic to pet hair . We are sorry we could not accommodate you at that time. We have tried and tried time and time again to get the message out to the customers when they book the reservation. Have found the notice under fine print. Again sorry we could not accommodate you but to help you in the future you might want to call the motel your interested in and double check that they in fact have a pet friendly room. Thank You

Affordable, Clean, and Close to the Coast

Posted Mar 8, 2017
Pros: The hotel was clean and well-managed.
Cons: Nothing to note. The room was a great value and very clean.
Location: It's in a beautiful location close to the coast. Dunkin' Donuts is right out front for the morning coffee fix. It seems pretty centrally-located.
I had a very pleasant stay. The owners were very kind, and flexible when it comes to late check-in. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Quiet, friendly motel right near town.

Posted Feb 23, 2017
Pros: Very fair pricing.
Cons: There is no breakfast, but again, the price was very fair and it allowed me to venture out and try a local diner.
Location: Bucksport borders seaside towns of Orland, Castine (which houses MMA), and the artistic community of Blue Hill. Acadia National Park is 60 mins drive
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed and was immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable. Despite being on Route 1, the motel is set far back enough from the road that the room was quiet.

Friendly, pleasant, honest

Posted Jan 21, 2017
Pros: Everything. Beds were just right and the shower was terrific.
Location: Right on Rte. 1 and near the town center and good restaurants.
The room was fine. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. An article of my wife's clothing just arrived in the mail: They didn't ask us to pay postage or anything and they sent it Priority Mail. We hadn't even realized it was missing! Definitely where we stay when in the area from now on.
