I was a little worried about staying in Budapest

Posted Jun 23, 2017
Pros: The staff, the location and the food available on site and nearby. The ambience of the local environment.
Cons: It was spot on for the very very reasonable price.
Location: In central Budapest near the social life of the city with People enjoying themselves everywhere.
My concerns - will I be understood - absolutely. Will the Hotel be to the standard I expect = absolutely. Is it central - absolutely and what about the location - very central to the life of the city. We loved it. Helpful staff, room very acceptable to our requirements, food on the ground floor, drinks everywhere etc. Not far from the river cruise berthing. Everything I could wish for.

Great location, rooms need update

Posted May 29, 2017
Pros: Location and breakfast were good.
Cons: Towels were worn out, mattress felt cheap, carpeting, bathrooms in general, upgrade furniture, coffee maker in the room, safe in the room.
Location: Great location, close to shopping and walking streets.
I don't want to blast the hotel, but it's sorely in need of an update. When I read the reviews, I was confident the hotel would be a nice place to stay during our vacation. So many positive reviews; I can't be the only one that thought the hotel was worn out. The location was excellent! Breakfast good and I really enjoyed the tables on the sidewalk in the morning. The room was a whole other story. No safe nor coffee maker in the room. If you are looking for a place to sleep in a good location, this will Meet your requirements. Just don't have high expectations.

Found front desk staff unfriendly not helpful

Posted May 28, 2017
Pros: Location was great
Cons: Staff could be more friendly and helpful. Reply to emails. Felt staff were not honest.
Location: Within walking distance of main markets, shops, great restaurants, and all transportation
Location was great, and although we thought it might have been a cultural difference that we found the staff rude - by the end we know they were dishonest. We left two good quality raincoats and a vest in the room, realized this on our flight to Venice phoned immediately, at first desk clerk said "no nothing found yesterday " when we corrected him and said we had just left 2hours ago - he said "no nothing found today" It was still before check in time. No replies to our emails. Pillows were flat as pancakes

Lovely Hotel right in the City

Posted May 27, 2017
Location: very near to loads of restaurants and shops
Very close to the river and in a pedestrianised area, so no traffic noise.

Well placed for the sights

Posted May 23, 2017
Pros: It's position. The staff. The cost.
Cons: The breakfast - the scrambled eggs are to be avoided. Queues for the coffee machine (only one).
Location: Shopping. Sightseeing. Catching public transport.
It is easy to walk around the centre of Pest from this hotel. The street is now very quiet (largely pedestrianised). Just a few minutes can take you to the river (where there is also a tram stop) or the metro stations, or to the several pedestrian shopping streets.

Budapest tour

Posted May 14, 2017
Pros: The cleanliness of the area, the room and surroundings of the hotel.
Cons: I did not see anything lacking as it lived up to our expectations.
Location: We enjoyed the sight seeing and the value for money that we spent
We enjoyed the whole stay and enjoyed the tours of the city. The hotel was wonderful, the breakfast very good and the surroundings were very pleasant. The hotel staff was very helpful. We enjoyed two days of seeing the city with the open top bus and found it very pleasant. The people were all very friendly. I also found it to be very good value for money.

Quiet hotel connected to the heart of Budapest

Posted May 13, 2017
Pros: All in all, if you are looking for a well-connected, good value-for-money hotel with charm and great service, this is your choice.
Cons: If I had to nitpick, the AC in our room wasn't working properly due to the cold weather. However, opening a window was good enough for us.
Location: The hotel is very close to two metro stations, which makes it easy to travel to the major attractions. Spots like Vaci Street is in walking distance.
After a disappointing stay at another hotel nearby, we check into Erzebet for the last 3 days of our trip, and I am so glad that we did. The gentlemen at the front desk was incredibly warm and helpful. He directed us to all the nearby attractions, marking them on our maps; helped us to book our train ticket to Romania and booked us a romantic Danube cruise. We had a late check-out, which he accommodated for us, far beyond the usual policy . While the room was modest, it was clean and had free Wi-Fi. Most importantly, the beds were soft and comfortable, with extra blankets and pillows provided by the staff. The bathroom was clean with fresh towels and amenities and an excellent make-up mirror. The free breakfast buffet was generous and varied, with fresh fruits, salads, baked goods and other vegetarian options. While the hotel is not right at the city centre, it is very close to the metro, which makes it easy to travel to the major attractions. Furthermore, popular sites like Vaci Street are in walking distance, so the hotel isn't that far-off. If touristy attractions is not your thing, there are plenty of near-by charming streets to wander in. Furthermore, a number of excellent restaurants (like La Capolla) are close by. All in all, if you are looking for a well-connected, good value-for-money hotel

Nice hotel in city centre

Posted May 5, 2017
Pros: Room. Position. Staff.
Cons: Breakfast could be hotter
Location: Good location. Easy reach of everything, great metro bus and tram service.
Had a lovely stay at the Erszebet hotel. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only criticism we have is that the cooked breakfast was almost cold.
