Good hotel for the price

Posted Feb 25, 2017 on Ebookers
Pros: The location and the staff are the highlights.
Cons: The bathroom should be renovated.
Location: A nice restaurant is 10 minutes away by feet. You can easily reach the city center by bus. Also the dental clinic is very close.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price is good for what is offered. The rooms are spacious enough, the beds are good. TV, safe, air conditioning and freezer, everything is in the room. The bathroom might need an overhaul. I was there for a week having dental treatment. The Clinic can be reached by feet in 15 minutes or in 5 minutes by bus. There are 2 bus lines very close to the hotel and with bus and metro you are in 30 minutes in the city centre. The breakfast is ok.

Friendly staff

Friendly and helpful staff, location is pretty far out of town but close to the public transport. Hotel could do with a little updating, but was clean. Free wifi and free breakfast included, although the selection was not great.

Budapest hotel lucky

Posted Oct 14, 2015
Pleasant little hotel in the outskirts. Get a travelcard and you can easily get into town in 15-20 mins. Buses regular. Rooms cosy if cold outside. Staff very friendly and willing to help or chat. Breakfast good. Spar supermarket also on the corner. Few tv channels but why stay in? Will travel there again.

Dear Polo, Thanks for your remarks we also like our little hotel as a home away from home. We welcome you on your next visit with Expedia.

Not good location. Need 10 euro taxi to downtown. No bus

Thanks for your comments. We are a hotel in the greenbelt of Budapest. There are two trolleys that can take you to metro stations right in front of the hotel. We are in a very quite and safe neighborhood. I hope that you will consider us next time when you are in Budapest.

Cozy Place to save your budget.

Posted Sep 28, 2014
Pros: Staff are very kind. Fine Breakfast compare to price.
Cons: Satisfied. Not thing to complain.
Location: 15 mins by bus you can see IKEA and Two Large shopping malls for shopping. Compare to downtown better to eat and buy Hungarian stuff.
First day, Hotel Reception gave a lot of useful information about Budapest. Not a lexuary hotel but it was cozy and good enough to say one or two days for travel with very reasonable price.

Thank you for your positive comments. We are a good 14th cosy hotel close to many shopping centers and convenient to the town center. The prices of restaurants and local stores are a great deal less than in the center of Budapest. We look forward to your next stay at our Hotel Lucky.

TV old and nonfunctional

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Inexpensive.
Location: It is in Zone VII. Most of Budapest attractions are in Zone 1.
TV was old and nonfunctional. Ever heard of flat screen TV? I had no time to even inform the staff. Staff too busy shooting the breeze with his old buddy.

First time in Budapest

Posted Sep 18, 2011 on Orbitz
Staff was the best part, polite and helpful. Location good for being distant. Metro close by and a breeze to use, quick ride downtown. Nice big room with very secure lock. Good attention to locking front door of hotel after dark too. Desk clerk on duty 24/7. (Budapest is a safe city anyway.) Unfortunately no washing machine or dryer and sending clothes out rather pricey, although out at 7:00 am and back by mid-afternoon consistently with ironed shirts is pretty good laundry service. I was there eight nights and the room got attention five or six times. Linens not great but adequate, one pillow seemed a bit old. Bring your own washcloth and Kleenex. Breakfast small Hungarian style, I ate at another like it, don't let anyone knock it. Price for this hotel was most reasonable and I have no major complaints. If they put in one or two washers and dryers and improved the linens and maid service a tad they could easily recoup their costs. I'd recommend it.

Fine for overnight sleeping not for day through

Good service and comfortable room but resturant not up to scratch for evening meals - local eating places very sparse - out of town location but access to Downtown easy via trolleybus or 15 min walk to bus.

Truly a Hungarian experience

The hotel is great. We were very happy with our room. Be sure to meet Janos, the night clerk, he WILL give you your passport back. I recommend the late night walk from the metro to the hotel. I would stay here again anytime.
