Everything about my stay was fantastic. I loved the breakfast buffet, in a very lovely dining room. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Budapest. All of the staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

Excellent Location
We enjoyed our stay at the Mefos Hotel. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the location which is very central to many sites in Budapest.

We really like the breakfast. The pastry fresh, great variety, and daily baked cake bites are delicious. The seasonal fruits, vegetable bar, and a different coffee makes the meal more enjoyable. The staff always politely.

Decent hotel
Great location if you wanna be near the Opera House, Heroes Square or the Basilica (where the Christmas market is) The hotel is decent enough, and perfect for a few days stay in that location.

My 3rd stay at the Medosz-I absolutely love this hotel! The location is perfect for walking & public transit, breakfast is excellent & plentiful, & my room was spacious, clean & comfortable. I won't consider staying anywhere else in Budapest--thank you for another lovely stay!

Our room was on the 7th floow with a nice view. The room was modern and spacious. There was limitation of toiletries, i.e., it would be great to have a shampoo. Breakfast was nice and delicious and the service during breakfast was very professional. Great location to the city centre and easily accessible from the airport.

Appropriate for short city breaks
- close to Andrassy Utca and a 15-20 minutes walk to city center (Vorosmarty Ter); - spacious room with two king beds - plenty of food and beverages locations around the hotel - close to public transport facilities - a big minus: lack of parking places ... I think the hotel has some lots underground but the reception stuff doesn't promote it and, surprising, doesn't alarm you to the fines that you can get very easily for parking right in front of the hotel's door !

Within walking distance of attractions and stores and restaurants. The breakfast was poor quality. Bed not comfortable. Soap drips on mirror not cleaned our entire stay. Communist past still very present in every aspect. We would not stay here again.

I am a frequent visitor to Budapest and I constantly choose the Medos hotel for its location in the city, its affordable rooms with terrace views of the city. It is my favorite location for easy access to tourist destinations and access to the metro for getting around. It is hard to find a better hotel in Budapest.

I liked that the hotel was close to everything you needed, food etc. The room was clean and fresh, somethings didn’t work too well but we did have a budget room so ok. The lift didn’t go to our floor (7th) so had stairs to climb with heavy bags. I didn’t think the parking was explained on arrival very well but a different receptionist the next morning was very helpful. Breakfast good.

lobby smelled of sewage and the breakfast buffet was poor but my main complaint was the service. it wasn't explained to me that my room was up a flight of stairs after getting out the lift (and no signage). wasted time searching and ended up having to go back down to reception. My main gripe with this very poor hotel was that I ordered a breakfast to go for my 530am departure - a service which they say they provide I went down to reception 520 to check out. at 0528 reception sent the nightporter to check with the kitchen on the status of the breakfast (what no phones?) at 0535 with NO BREAKFAST in sight, and no idea when it might arrive, and in fear of missing my flight to London I had to depart without. Not as much as an apology from reception - she just tried to cover her own back by saying 'I asked them to do it'. Not a good look. I would never use this palce again and would not advise anyone to use it

A good base in Budapest
This hotel was simply a base to overnight in in Budapest, and adequate for that. This place is nothing flash - simply a bed and bathroom. The reception was friendly and competent. The surrounding area is fantastic. Although parking was off-site, you can easily park and walk for the rest of your time in Budapest. I'd recommend this hotel if you simply need a bed to go back to after some serious Budapest time.

Very happy with my stay
Excellent reception (they checked us in 2 hours in advance) Room at 9th floor was nice with balcony and good view over Budapest. Breakfast was normal (continental with fresh products), good coffee Everyday cleaning, but unfortunately they didnt change our ashtray for whole stay, that was the only downside Overall excellent place and good price

Okay place.
The pictures of the hotel make it appear modern but it’s a very old building. I was on the third floor. The AC stopped working halfway through my stay but luckily it wasn’t too hot. Service was okay too. One of the night audits, elderly man, was very friendly. Location was pretty good- walkable. I would stay again if I had to but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

During winter time air conditioners are set in heating mode, so probably the AC reached the minimum temperature in the room. We appreciate, that overall you spent a great time in our hotel.
