Nice hotel with spa, adjacent to River Danube.

Cons: Bacon and maners of the restaurant staff
Location: About 10 minutes to nearest station and aroun 15 minuites on train and tube into centre of budapest
Hotel is away form city about 10 minutes walk from nearest train station. Free train to end of line then need a 350 florint ticket per journey. This is even if you have to swap lines to wear you are going. If you go wrong, do not go out of station otherwise you will need to purchase a further ticket to get on. Hotel was generally good. Only negative was some of the waiting staff and the chef were brusque. The bacon at breakfast was streaky and barely cooked and it was impossible to get across that we would like it cooked more. The cofffee at breakfast was also prepared in kettles and was very poor. We ended up using the nescafe sachets and the hot water, which for a four star hotel should have better coffee. Spa was excellent which has an unheated pool and two further baths of differing heat. There are two saunas of differing heat plus a further infra red sauna (which has a surcharge) per sex. There is also a jacuzzi. There is a complementary soup each day. We were there two days and there was a cold fruit soup and a minestrone soup. Both were nice and appeared to be "homemade" The fruit soup was more like a milkshake but both were nice.

Very pleasant stay, just a tad far out from the center of Budapest. Once figured out how to get around on the metro system it was fine. would recommend and would stay here again.

The 5* awarded to this hotel are excessive.

This hotel a house have a 3.5* rating. I also hated that there was no temperature adjustment in the room. It was heated but not well enough .

Best Hotel I've Ever Stayed

Pros: Decor, staff, spa, breakfast.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Far from downtown or other tourist attractions.
This beautiful hotel has everything. There's a wonderful full spa; there's good gift shops; the WiFi service was dependable; the breakfast was magnificent. The location left a little to be desired. I would certainly stay there again.

Dissatisfied

Having filtered my search to 5 star hotels only, it was probably a case of too good to be true given the relatively low price we paid. Regardless, it wasn't cheap in Hungarian terms so we were very disappointed to find a hotel certainly in no better condition than a mid 3 star hotel. Rusty taps, strangers hair all over the bathroom tiles, outdated and damaged furniture. Really poor I'm afraid.

Room for improvement

The quality of the room was very good but the comfort of the room was let down by insufficient air conditioning. Room temperature for me is extremely important to obtain a good sleep. Generally the hotel is good value for money and is close to the city.

Good reasonably priced hotel

Good hotel at reasonable price. Nice location - great Hungarian restaurant only 2 blocks away. Spa a little disappointing..

Decent property and room. Service is terrible. Claim to have room service but they do not have staff for it so no service available. Rooms are sold cheap because no service. If you want a decent room at a low price with zero service outside the city then it's ok. Bad smell and carpets are in dire need of cleaning.
