Good Hotel, great location, Excellent and Staff

Posted May 8, 2017
Pros: Definitively the Staff is the best asset for this Hotel
Cons: Main lobby door is locked at night and sometimes take a while to get the staff allowing you to access the premises. This may annoy some people.
Location: Location is Great, lot of things to do starting one block away from the Hotel's address, San Telmo is a Tourist destination and is where the Hotel is.
I returned to this Hotel every year since 2012. This is Facility is located in San Telmo. Close to very good restaurants and historic places like Plaza de Mayo. The facility is very well maintained, rooms are clean and the staff is excellent. There are some things you need to know and are probably opportunities for the Hotel to improve. Hot water doesn't seem to have a pump circulating system and you need to leave the shower running for even some minutes in order to get the proper temperature. The Lobby is always locked so you have to arrive ring the bell and if it is already night probably wait a couple of minutes until you get the door opened. The Breakfast Buffet is well presented and have plenty of options.

The aircon in the rooms are not great and where our room is situated we could not open the windows either. Otherwise for the price the hotel is greatly situated to walk to many restaurants. Breakfast is basic but tasty.

The hotel staff was very accommodating and the lobby is very well-kept. Breakfast was delicious and their garden areas are beautiful. The only con was the bathroom shower--there was no containment for the water and so it splashed everywhere in the bathroom. It seemed strange.

This is not a Boutique Hotel, just a small hotel.

Pros: They kept it clean and the A/C was working.
Cons: After five days at this hotel, the people at the front desk wouldn't know our room number, even though there are only 22 rooms in the hotel.
Location: Just pick up a map from the front desk and walk to every point of interest. You'll find so many other interesting buildings and churches on your way.
English speaking personel is very limited, and their reponse back was allways in spanish. The area where the hotel is located is very runned down, but it's a short walk to the San Telmo Market, Plaza de Mayo, Avenida Florida, etc. We only stayed a few night, so it was ok. But I would not reccomend this hotel. I'd rather pay little extra money and get a better location.

Good boutique hotel in San Telmo

Posted Dec 11, 2015 on Hotels
We spent 5 days in Buenos Aires and found it easy to get around from the hotel, by foot, bus or subway. Supermarket nearby, lots of restaurant choices, amazing Sunday market in the area that went on for many blocks.

5 days in San Telmo neighborhood

Posted Apr 4, 2015 on Hotels
Our first time in Argentina. Came directly from seaport to hotel in evening, about 10 min ride via taxi. At first thought it was a bit ghetto neighborhood, but later realize you are only 5 mins from San Telmo square, 10 mins walking from the pink house, and 20 mins walking from all major tourist sites. Good location. Room clean, remodeled shower. Only drawback ther, floor will be a bit wet after you shower. Breakfast includes pastier its, medialunas, ham cheese, orange juice tea, coffee, fruit salad, yogurt...able to make sandwiches for the road or tours in the city to go...most staff speaks English...medialunas were the best quality and dulce de Leche was awesome too...I'd sty there again given the price bs all the amenities including wifi!

It was just average for me. Not the best hotel I've stayed but certainly not the worst. The breakfast was a little lame because it was so bread heavy.
