Great location, great and very warm staff

Posted Feb 27, 2017
The staff is combined of young and very polite people who did any effort to assist and to provide solution to almost any will or problem. Very proactive staff. The hotel location is perfect. Breakfast was good. Rooms are wide and well equiped. The only problem is (and this is subjective) that the door for toilettes is made of glass (non transperant) and has a small space between floor and ceiling. The shower base is very slippy.

Small hotel right in the "hum drum" for local hots

Posted Feb 18, 2017
Was a very nice hotel and staff really worked to make our stay in Buenos Aires. The only negative was the hotel lost electricity for 8 hours. Staff still had a hot breakfast available for us under battery lights. Made for great discussion for those staying at hotel. Sporadic Electricity outages in BA is a occurrence.

Hotel in Retiro

Posted Dec 31, 2016
Small hotel in the Retiro district within easy walking distance of great restaurants and shopping. Staff at the front desk are very helpful and provide loads of useful tips for getting around. The rooms are large, quiet and very comfortable. Jacuzzi was a surprise.

Nice Hotel, Good Location

Posted Dec 20, 2016
This is a really nice hotel that is close to a lot of the good tourist stuff in BA- Recoleta and San Telmo are both walkable. Room was huge. We stayed in 802 and it looks like the even numbered rooms (the back) are larger. Huge bathroom, nice rain shower. Staff was very nice and gave you a booklet with tons of suggestions in the area. Free bamboo bikes available and the hotel is on a bike road. We stayed here and the Miravida Soho in Palermo Soho. For us the latter was our favourite because the staff was so amazing and we really preferred the Palermo neighbourhood.

Hotel is aptly named

Posted Dec 17, 2016
Pros: Service, comfortable room, cleanliness. Well-managed and operated.
Cons: We mentioned that the eggs at breakfast were not cooked well. The next time we had eggs the problem had been fixed and we had excellent eggs.
Location: Located in Retiro, near many of the main sites and attractions in a safe but bustling neighborhood.
Hotel is conveniently located. Quiet, comfortable, intelligently appointed and eco-friendly rooms. The pleasant staff's competence, responsiveness, and helpfulness are a true stand out. The vibe is definitely that of an oasis of calm in the big city.

Boutique gem

Posted Dec 14, 2016 on Hotels
This is a boutique hotel (18 rooms -- 2 per floor) in a small high-rise building. The ground floor has a reception area in front and a small lounge in the rear, where guests can pick out their own items for breakfast if they choose to eat there and tally them on an honor system. The staff is young, friendly, and helpful. Their English is adequate (and infinitely better than my negligible Spanish ...). We had an excellent room on an upper floor -- large, well-lit, with contemporary furnishings. Spotlessly clean. Large new bathroom with double Jacuzzi tub plus walk-in shower. One minor annoyance -- the sinks are elegant glass bowls, but the faucets are positioned so high that it's hard not to splash when using them. Located in a busy neighborhood with multiple other hotels. Good access to important areas of Buenos Aires, although some are a long walk, which did not bother us. Distances in BA may prompt use of taxis or buses (if you can figure out the system ...) which are readily available. Several excellent restaurants close by. Would absolutely recommend this hotel if you do not need services of a typically large hotel. It's definitely too small for tour groups.
