Posted Apr 12, 2017
Pros: the staff was friendly and polite
Cons: needs a new face lift carpets are all worn out and the gym is outdated . The hotel is not a 5 star one!
Location: the location is great
I had to ask every day to leave towels or toiletries. we had ravioli for breakfast and also risotto some days. Never seen that !

Getting older and older

Posted Mar 17, 2017
This hotel needs an urgent renovation. Most of the building is in bad shape and dirty. The bar and the breakfast room are very dark. The elevator are dirty. My room was OK but the bathroom very small.

Nice hotel in the middle of everything. Good value

The hotel has an excellent location, staff very polite and helpful, breakfast is good except for the orange juice which was watery. Very good value for the money.

Hotel popular with older generation

Posted Mar 1, 2017
Pros: Breakfast. Bed
Cons: It looked like it might be due a bit of refurbishment
Location: Location is fine (opposite a sex shop. LOL) but it's a long way from San Telmo, which is my favourite part of Buenos Aires, or Palermo
My stay at this hotel was unfairly overshadowed by getting soaked in a thunderstorm and caught in gridlock getting there by taxi. But it's a perfectly nice hotel. Very comfortable bed and a good, filling breakfast. The staff were comfortable and my room even came with a proper bathtub. The location is good for downtown (but quite a long way from San Telmo). If you're young (ie 30 or under) you might feel a bit out of place. It's very popular with the over-60s, who probably like its (slightly faded) grandeur

Nice hotel, but the room was a little small

Posted Feb 21, 2017
The most important problem, is very hard to understand why the restaurant schedule is too limited and not open sunday night, for an hotel as the category offered is not normal this restriction, was not normal too that the service room personnel not respect the budge with not disturb announce and enter to the room.

Excellent, central location

Posted Feb 16, 2017
Located 1 block away from pedestrian Florida Avenida downtown Buenos Aires. It is tough to find people speaking/understanding English in Buenos Aires. The Claridge staff have an excellent command of the English language. They're all extremely friendly, professional and helpful. The Claridge will also store your bags after you check out so you can explore Buenos Aires freely and pick up your bags when you're done.
