Good location but not posh, older property. Not able to control AC so can be a bit hot for some. Staff was accommodating & helpful. Breakfast was average but good. Central location was convenient & walkable. Overall, it was okay.

Impressive foyer, tired room.
The staff were amiable and professional. The room is very tired - window shutter not working and permanently part -open, no blackout curtains (although the runners are still there), shower nozzle spurted water. Breakfast is not four-star standard. Foyer and reception areas are impressive. Good restaurant meal.

Excelent Service. Personal... Detail oriented. They made me feel at home. Very clean. The Manager upgraded me to a better room. The area iis very convenient for sightseeing.

The location is great. Breakfast is fine. I liked this hotel and have stayed there many times over the years. But it is getting quite old, and showing it. The “standard”rooms are small, poorly furnished and could do with fresh painting. The bathroom is rather basic, the videt did not work.

Dora Hotel
The hotel is ready for a bit of t.l.c. The bedrooms are dated. My bed sagged to one side. The bidet was damaged and repaired in an amsteurish way, tne chhrome had worn off the taps and shower. Breakfast was good, however the staff were slow at clearing tables and replenishing the buffet.

Dora Hotel
The hotel is dated but the room was clean and it’s situated close to the main shopping district. We had a small bathroom and didn’t try the breakfast but overall we were happy. As we were travelling around Argentina they let us store our bags a few days prior to check-in.

The staff on all shifts were so professional, helpful and overall nice. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family visiting Buenos Aires. Location is great, the room was nice and staff even nicer.

Don't stay on the 1st floor, it's old and the bathrooms are terrinle. The staff dontspeak much English. I had trouble even being served by some of the staff but others were helpful.

Happy with hotel location and clean, not allowed early check in. We arrived earlier had to wait till 3pm for check in. By saying that we saw a couple came after us while we were sitting near reception sofa. The reception allowed them to check in earlier ( even the web stating very clear check in 3 pm). Probably the type of room available. At the end we check in at 3 pm. Standard room not available, upgraded to deluxe room. We are happy with the upgrade finally

This is only a 2 star at the most!
Dora hotel is centrally located in B.A., but it is only a two(2) star hotel. The area around the hotel is going down hill rapidly,streets where dirty and homeless people are abundant.The hotel room needs updating: floor laminate was warping,room walls where chipped,airconditioning vent needs to be sanitary cleaned,shower head needs cleaning,mattresses are old. you can hear the next room guest as if your wife was wispering in your ear. need i say anymore?

Hotel Dora is Value
Hotel Dora is value. This is a smallish hotel from 50 to 60 years ago with that mid century modern furniture in the lobby with authentic statuary and oil paintings from the period. The staff is attentive in a reserved way. The rooms are clean and I like the bathroom with it’s copper sink. A safe in the room. The location is where I would want to be. Close to a lot of interest interesting areas as well as the metro lines. This is however a 50+ year old hotel and there are some imperfections which I could quickly over look. The experience was very much worth it.

Convenient location
We arrived early in the morning, 6am, after over 24 hours traveling so we're happy to get an early check in even with the charge. Hotel is very convenient for transport to either airport, ferry to Uruguay and inter city buses. Many interesting streets nearby and is on the edge of CBD. Rooms were comfortable without being outstanding but overall very good value.

Superior room is not superior at all, I can not imagine what the standard room is. Noises. Beds quite small. Extra charges when you are checking. You are charged extra if you book with orbitz or other booking agency.

Great Location
Great location. Easy walk to Florida Street which is 8 blocks of shopping, shopping & more shopping- Wife loved that ! Taxi cabs every 60 seconds if you don't Uber it ( which by the way is great in B. A.). Great WI-FI, Breakfast is Spartan but good. Reception was excellent. Never felt unsafe even at night . Three stars but Good value for your money.

First desk clerk was very business like not offering an additional information. Then another gentlemen came to the desk and was very agreeable and informative. Overall stay was fine but not outstanding. The bathroom was very tight quarters. I almost had to step into the tub to shut the door.

Hotel Dora is an excellent hotel well situated near Plaza St. Martin, next to the famous Florida Street. The hotel staff was friendly, very helpful and always trying to please. The only negative comment I have it that 1 elevator out of 2 was functioning during our stay. We had an incredible price through Expedia and noticed that the regular price was double what we paid. The beds were comfortable, a good size room; I highly recommend this hotel.

Good hotel in a central location
We had two stays of three nights each with a break to visit the Iguazú falls. Our first stay was excellent but we were disappointed with the rooms on our return. Without realising it, we had booked "superior" rooms followed by "standard" rooms. The "superior rooms were fine although the bathrooms were small. The standard rooms were poor with a shabby feel, stained carpets and a lack of power sockets. The bedding in both types of room was excellent and clean. My rating of "Hotel Facilities" would be higher if it were not for the "standard" rooms and the reception and restaurant areas were very good. The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the breakfasts.

Good location but there were homeless people beside the hotel and on the street in front of the entrance.the standard bedrooms have old carpets and pink walls.the superior double bedrooms are small and decent. One of the 2 elevators was out of service,we had to use freight elevator and exit stairways. The service is great and the lobby and breakfast area are nice.breakfast is included and it was delicious.the restaurant for dinner was not good,pasta was tasteless,steak was dry,service was slow.

Great Value, near everything!
The Dora Hotel is in a great location and is in the heart of the city. While not particularly fancy, it's very clean and tidy and a great value for the price paid. The staff was friendly and fantastic with helping to plan excursions and giving information on the city. Kudos to Santiago for going the extra mile with excellent service!

It s a nice hotel , good location in Microcentro ( Buenos Aires downtown), near to Plaza san Martin, El Retiro metro & train central station, Calle Florida, Av. 9 de julio, El Obelisco, Teatro Colon, Calle Corrientes , ETC. Famous because writer Jorge Luis Borges preferred place to go . BUT, as son we arrive, Concierge tell us : Sorry , "NO HOT WATER in the rooms WC. we have a problem"

Spring Break in Buenos Aries
I would characterize this hotel as shabby chic. It was a bit tired; although, there was much renovation going on in the lobby--too much, actually, quite noisy. The breakfast was more than ample, nothing fancy but more than adequate. The front desk hotel staff were so very helpful to me, giving me directions, making local calls, assisting w/several issues throughout the week. I am very grateful to them; they were most kind and gracious. I also appreciated their outstanding English skills, quite in contrast to my fledgling Spanish. My room, while quaint and somewhat average, was cozy and comfortable; it was quiet in the evenings which I really appreciated.

Would not recommend it. The staff first said that I had not paid, when it was paid in full when it was booked. Then, they tried to charge me an additional fee which was their going rate for the night, I refused. The next day, the managers said that Hotels.com was not authorized to sell their rooms and wanted me to pay the full rate, then 25 minutes later wanted me to pay an additional $15 USD. What a joke. The place needs major refurbishing and cleaning.
