Ice cold shower for 2 out of 5 days. This occurred even after letting the water run for 5 minutes.

Beautiful hotel and exceptional staff.

Pros: Location, staff, amenities.
Cons: The carpeting in our room should have been replaced long ago. The numerous stains were unappealing and not what I have come to expect from the Sofitel
Location: Very close to walking paths, restuarnts, shopping, transit (subway) and Plaza de Mayo
Having stayed at the Sofitel in Montreal, Canada and New York, USA - the property in Buenos Aires certainly lived up to expectations. The location is perfect for walking around the downtown and for getting onto the subway. The rooms are elegantly decorated and extremely comfortable. There were more stains in the carpet of our room than I was really comfortable with, however I did my best not to let that impact my enjoyment of the hotel and city.

They were created when the carpet was actually cleaned, and the product used touching the furniture dyed the carpet. A terrible event for the state of our magnifique rooms. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel Buenos Aires. The hotel is on a quiet street, in a very safe area. The staff are excellent- great service and very welcoming. The restaurant and cafe in the hotel are both very good. Our room was spacious, clean, very comfortable. They are mindful of the details that make guests comfortable- turn down service, coffee in the room, an umbrella to use, etc... We look forward to returning to Buenos Aires and would definitely stay at the Sofitel again.

Best place to stay in the area!

Pros: The friendliness of the staff, location, quality, comfortable beds, food!
We had the best experience here. The staff is amazing! Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location to see the city. Hotel had everything we needed!!!

Fabulous Service & FOOD!

Our first trip to Argentina and we did not know what to expect. Sofitel was perfect and reminded us of a stay in Paris. We ate 2 out of 4 nights at Le Sud (better than the nights away!). The hospitality of Mariano and personal appearance of the fabulous chef were great highlights. We went on to Cordoba & Bariloche for wonderful stays, but Sofitil remained the nicest hotel by far. The bar there is great and the food is AMAZING!

OMG THE BEST!

Pros: Everything! The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. I had problems with a tour that I booked locally and they tried everything to help me out.
Cons: I can´t think of a way to improve the hotel or the service. Gustavo, the receptionist was fantastic.
Location: It is close to everything.
I have stayed at a few Sofitel hotels, but this one had everything that one could need on a holiday. The amenities, the staff and the location were great.

Location: Loved the tango
Location, food and service were good but we were disappointed by the size of the rooms (too small - felt 'tight') and smelt and felt damp when we first arrived. Also, the service book was all in Spanish (as were the instructions for the equipment in the gym!) which was surprising as this hotel is part of a cruise package which caters mostly for english-speaking visitors. Staff were helpful and friendly.
