It is full of character and charm with many interesting artifacts dating back to earlier days, including Italian statues, Vintage Barbies, etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wonderful history about the family who worked so hard to build it. Dining a Salvator's was delicious and the service was excellent.

I would first like to mention that the front desk staff are very nice and friendly. The main issue I had was with the room. When I first walked in the room it was dirty. There was food crumbs on the floor to the point where many small ants were picking up food. The mini bar had left over food and milk from a prior guest. The carpets were just dirty and old. Sadly I won’t be back here ever again.

The only problem i saw while staying at the property was, 1. They gave us a broken chair. 2. The batteries to the remote where dead. 3. It took 3 days to get my deposit back.

Our check in was over 3 hours late because they didn't have anything clean, making us extremely close to being late for our event which was very very disappointing. When we got back the edge of half the bed was covered in dust/ dirt, possibly from the heater we weren't too sure but it was gross. The heater was also emitting a very strong burning smell so we ended up just turning it off all together and delt with it being a bit chilly. The TV was super old and slow and the jacuzzi leaked all over the floor making the carpet soaked. No free breakfast?! We loved the main walkway and reception area and the receptionists we're very very nice but obviously all of the money goes to the main public area. Might as well of stayed at a motel, we were so excited to stay here and ended up being extremely disappointed in our accomodations and this property:(

We have stayed here several times and each time it has gotten worse. I love the old nostalgia of the place so the older decor does not bother me. But the uncleanliness is awful now.It used to be one of our favorite places to stay NOT anymore. The whole hotel is VERY dirty! Bags of garbage in the hallway and old food left on carpets and in common areas stayed there the entire 3 days we were there. No one ever cleaned it. You walked up the hallways and you could clearly tell they hadn’t been vacuumed in a long time and that’s not even mentioning how stained the carpets every where are. Our jacuzzi room this time was very dirty. I wouldn’t even use the shower it was that bad. Our toilet also would not flush. We called maintenance and they came while we were out of the room but they didn’t fix it. We didn’t even bother to call back. There are a lot of other hotels in the area stay at one of those before you stay here. It definitely needs new management or someone who cares about the establishment. I wouldn’t even give it 1 star.

When we checked into our room the room door was a bit off the hinges and there was an opening on the lock side we could see out into the hall. There was no carpet on the floor and the floors were a bit dirty. Other rooms had carpet. There was no free breakfast in the morning. We would have had to pay an extra 10.00 dollars each for that. All in all the place is pretty inside and out and quiet.

We have stayed at the Garden Place Hotel many many times over the past 20 years. This experience was the worst: we arrived after midnight when we flew in to Buffalo. When we were walking down the hall to our room, the smell of marijuana smoke wafted throughout the halls. It made us both feel sick and ruined our night.

the room we were in is in need of a major updating. The shower curtains were a foot too long for the opening, and dirty. The soap from previous guest was left on the shower faucet which says to me that the shower was not cleaned. The tv is VERY small and outdated. No night stand on one side of the bed. The price was great and I guess I got what I paid for.

Was excited at first to stay here. Property is beautiful, room was clean. We called the front for another pillow. They said no problem. 30 min later no pillow, called again. She said 5 min. An hour later called again and they said they won’t be bringing it. So didn’t sleep well without enough pillows. Was woken early to hammering and contractor work early so count sleep more. Very disappointed. Planned to stay again but we won’t be returning.

It is a unique property but it appears very outdated. The walls are paper thin. The television too loud and beds basic and uncomfortable. The hotel did not seem busy yet we had people right next to us and they were extremely loud and repeatedly let their door slam shut late in the evening. We will not be returning.

The wifi didnt work, half the jets in our suite also didnt work at all. The heater/ac was covered in dust, and didnt work very well. When we went to get ice, there was water literally falling out of the ceiling into the bare floor as if it was raining. The halls smelled of Marijuana. This was the worst stay ive ever had here unfortunately.
