Nice place, a little overwhelmedPosted Aug 23, 2015 on Hotels
This is our 4th time staying at this location. The hotel is still clean and comfortable, but this year, the staff - mostly nice young kids - seemed a little overwhelmed at times. (We were told it has been an unusually busy summer.) Note to the local manager and maybe Corporate: you've got nice employees working there, please give them the training, support and supplies they need.

Overall nice Experience. Around 20 Mins drive to Niagara from here. Neighborhood is very nice with lots of shops around. They gave two days evening snacks/sandwiches free which is really good. When i entered the room it was clean expect that the Trash under the kitchen cabinet was not cleaned. It was full of bottles, coke cans etc.. All other things are good in this Hotel. Highly recommend this for stay.

wedding seasonPosted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: The room, and especially the staff.
Cons: The breakfast bar staff needed more help to keep up with the number of patrons
Location: There were Local restaurants were within eyeshot, and a mall just down the street. The hotel is close to the airport and many local banquet halls.
A group of us were attending the Boss's daughter's wedding, we were unfamiliar with the area or where to stay. We found the Staybridge hotel on expedia web site it med our needs for distance to reception hall and quality of hotel. The staff were especially helpful and shuttled us to and from the wedding at a nearby banquet hall. This was an added benifit as we would have needed to take a taxi, as driving would not have been an option after a reception. The suite was clean and included real stem wear and a dishwasher in its kitchenette area, rather than the typical plastic. We would definately stay at this hotel and recommend it to a friend.

Please do not stay in this HotelPosted Aug 7, 2015 on Hotels
The Management is unbelievably bad. They took away one of my two rooms that I had booked and paid for without my consent/approval. The Manager was "More than happy to walk me to another Hotel if available" if I did not agree to accept the Room they had offered (Two-Bedroom Suite instead of Two one bedroom Suites). I was also supposed to get a refund for one night for the "inconvenience" but no one at the Hotel knows about it now (I never got the refund).....! This was the first and last time I or my family will step into any Staybridge or affiliated Hotels ever. Very sad and unethical behavior form the management........

We stayed overnight as a stop over the room was excellent but it is time to upgrade the beds as they were very uncomfortable, squeaky and lumpy

Disappointed.Posted Jul 30, 2015
I read many of the glowing reviews of this place and that's what made our experience all the more disappointing :/ We booked two rooms for a family of six for a one night stay after a late flight, and arrived around 10.30pm. One of our 'non-smoking rooms' smelled very badly of cigarette smoke and we called down to reception to get our room switched. We were informed that the hotel was full and there were no other rooms to give us. That was disappointing, but we decided since we had no choice we would deal with the smell. Then we went to make up the sofa-beds.. No bedding! Apparently it is typical to have to go down to reception to get bedding, we just weren't told that at check-in. Again, no big deal, but I think what spoilt this stay for me completely was opening the sofa-bed in one of the rooms to find a very alarming, big yellow stain on the mattress! It felt gross, and we had to make up a bed of sorts for our son with the sofa cushions on the floor. Called reception again, but obviously we got the same response that there was nothing they could do as the hotel was full. I was a very unhappy camper to have my family in these conditions. The other room was fine, so I can only conclude because we came in late we got stuck with maybe the only unpleasant room in the hotel? I don't know, but it was definitely not the room I booked and pre-paid! Manager on duty in the morning was apologetic and gave us reward points to use in future, but a very unhappy stay for us.

Very disappointing experience. Requested blankets for sofa bed and received one tiny paper like substance hotel is using as cheap blanket. Had to share master bedding with my daughter instead. Worse though was computer glitch that assigned our room to a new guest who tried to get in the room while we were sleeping that evening. Very scary, and 2 phone calls from front desk to wake us afterwards. No one asked about our stay when we checked out - a decent hotel would have made a note to check with us in the morning and offer a discount or an apology.

Hotel was fine, including location. Reviews are positive from others, but I felt the room we we're set up in was not the best though adequate. Being on a back corner of the hotel it was a none smoking room, but it smelled of smoke, walls and ceilings are super thin, you can here people in the next room, kids jumping around in the floor above us, thought the celing was coming down. Cleanliness was just OK, but be forwarned since this is an extended stay hotel, they don't have regular room service on the weekends, since Staybridge is helping the environment. Would have liked to use the Pool, but water was so murky, you couldn't see the bottom. No thanks. The Free Breakfast is only good for coffee. For the price we paid, I would have expected more for the two nights we we're staying. But that is just me, and we needed was a bed and shower and got that. So your experience may vary depending on the room and time of travel.

The staff was very friendly and apologetic because I got a smoking room (which gave me a headache the moment that I stepped in the door). Connor explained that despite stating my preference for non-smoking room, since it was done through Hotels.com, the request has lower priority than those booked directly through Staybridge. They were fully booked and simply had no other room for me.
