Beautiful old restored mansion. Staff are welcoming and helpful and the location was convenient. Bar and living room great spot to gather for a drink, read. Our room was spacious but tired. The mattress was so old we fell to the middle and it creaked loudly with the slightest movement. The bathroom had 2 sinks but one did not drain, there was a space for a small fridge in the room but no fridge, the curtains wouldn’t close entirely as the chord was broken, and the rooms are only made up every other day- so for our 2 night stay we had to tidy and make the beds New towels and toiletries were left at the door. There was no safe in the room either. A fun spot but wont stay until they replace mattresses- not good for young or old backs.

A lovely old mansion with a small intimate bar and art deco dining room. The staff, Katie and Ella, are wonderful.

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely attentive staff. We were provided with a complimentary drink when we arrived and the breakfast that was included was great. Parking was free across the road. The only things to consider are that there are a few stairs to enter the hotel and to access the third floor (the lift goes to all other floors so suggest requesting rooms there if you have accessibility needs, lots of luggage, or young kids). The multi shower in our room woild have been great when new but probably needed an upgrade - the only reason for not giving five stars on everything. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

This is a great hotel, the staff were extremely nice and knowledgeable. The bar area was quaint and fun. The breakfast in the morning was delicious 😋 very easy check in and check out. I would recommend this boutique hotel as an excellent spot for couples.

Excellent hotel with wonderful staff! Lucas and all the other staff were all top notch and attentive to our needs. Would highly recommend staying here if you are traveling to Buffalo area.

This hotel is a big old house with a lot of history. It’s very close walking to the Shea’s theatre, Buffalo Chophouse Restaurant that is the best steak in the area, etc. the working people are very friendly and you have complementary breakfast and drink in the bar. I highly recommend this place.

This was our second stay there and I can’t say enough about the personable and friendly staff. They accommodate and enhance the experience. I especially love the social hour(s) at the bar and the opportunity to mingle with other guests.

The homemade chocolate chip cookies that are in your room at check in are the best I’ve ever had. Both days my shower was cold and I left it running for 15min to try and get it warm but no luck. Management didn’t do anything for me. I don’t know names but the girl at the front desk working Tuesday after 5pm was delightful as well as the bartender.

Maintenance did look into the issues that were brought to our attention and found everything in working order. Because we are an older property and historical building, if most guests take a shower at the same time, that will determine the length of time hot water is available. First my room didn’t have internet so I had to move rooms. It was a tiny room but one of the ‘renovated’ ones. The second room was bigger but old and the shower was awful and made for someone handicap. Water pressure was bad and never got very hot. The heat didn’t go above 68 in the room and I was freezing. They only had two options for breakfast and no buffet which was what they used to have and it was very good. I won’t stay here again, I’ll stay at a newer modern hotel. Also, no valet. Had to park car in lot across the street.

Need to walk through another parking lot to get access to hotel, bathroom floor was filthy, no large signage to identify hotel, needed to ask another business where hotel was located Desk person was very helpful and service was good. Overall would not recommend this hotel

The Mansion lives up to its name: It is an exquisite, very large vintage home in central Buffalo that has been lovingly remodeled to create a beautiful and enchanting hotel. Apart from the enchanting building and well-appointed rooms, the expertly trained and truly wonderful staff are the stand out feature of The Mansion. They are great: Knowledgeable, generous, courteous, and genuinely helpful. And if that isn't enough, they probably serve one of the best "cooked for you" breakfasts on the planet. Each day, you have a choice of a few different breakfasts. You put in your order, and in a short time you get a beautifully prepared and truly delicious breakfast. This is what staying in a good, old-fashioned hotel is all about!
