“A last minute event meant the we needed somewhere to stay so we decided to treat ourselves to Dinner Bed & Breakfast at the White Lion. It was a bit busy when we arrived but the staff were welcoming though we only go directions to our room as the lad needed to get back to the bar. The room was lovely, generally well appointed. We met my sister in law and her husband for dinner and the food was tea good, nicely presented and delicious too. A great seasonal menu, too full to have dessert. The bed……

“The only little complaint we had was the checking in process. We were told we’d get an email telling us how to check in which we never got. Also there seemed to be a difference between the info on hotels dot com and the places own website. But other than that, the room was lovely, well equipped, clean, comfortable. “The apartment enjoys a central location in the lovely quaint coastal town of Southwold. A very comfortable, spacious flat with plenty of shops and places to eat on your doorstep. The bedrooms are on a slightly lower level to the living room and kitchen area and would benefit from some sort of coloured strip to draw your attention to this as the flooring is all one uniform colour. An accident waiting to happen! Otherwise a really nice place to stay.”

“We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. ”
