Nice hotelPosted Nov 30, 2015
The hotel allowed my mother and I check in as early as 10am since we had an early morning flight. There's an indoor poor on the first floor and suprisigly, there was no smell of chlorine. The room was very clean and the hotel was quiet. There's hot breakfast all the way to 9am! So I was able to sleep in a little longer. The breakfast was great! Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, ceral, waffels, toast, juice and coffee. This was a plus since it helped save us money from going out to eat. Also, the hotel is across the street from Walmart! 😊

Great Family MotelPosted Nov 24, 2015
Pros: This hotel is also located close to several restaurants.
Cons: The heater/air conditioner was old & should be updated.
Location: Restaurants available near-by and Walmart was right across the street.
We rented 7 rooms - 14 people came to Mt. Pleasant for a Memorial Service for our Mother & grandmother. It was also a family reunion. Some of us arrived after a harrowing drive from different parts of the country over snow & ice and our trip took much longer than it normally does. The young man at the desk was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The following day more of our family arrived and they too received that same welcome. We asked if we could use the unused breakfast area in the evening to visit together and he readily let us do that. Our rooms were very comfortable & clean. The motel is older but it was in good condition. I would definitely stay there again.

Dirty, old, used towels.Posted Oct 22, 2015
Cons: buy new towels and new pillows at least!
I had to through all towels on the floor with the hope that they will wash/change it for next visitor. The towels has stain on it! and they put a sign saying care for environment! We don't wash the towels unless you drop them on the floor! I believe they never wash the towel no matter where you drop them! to save environment we give you dirty filthy towels! Bed sheets had the same situation. Dirty and old. Pillows where so cheap and over used that I would prefer to sleep on my pile of shirts rather than on of those old cheap pillows! In general one of my worst hotel experiences. Thanks god I had to stay only one night.

Excellent for the price!Posted Oct 11, 2015
Rooms are nice and clean and staff is friendly. Breakfast is what you would expect for a cheaper hotel but definitely good and choices between hot and cold. The only complaint I would have is how thin the walls are. I would get woken up very early from talking and vacuuming. Also the water pressure is great until you actually turn the shower head on then it just sprinkles out.

Not for familiesPosted Oct 2, 2015
Where do I start? Lots of shady characters hanging around, including the manager who spent hours out in the parking lot talking to someone. Made it hard to complain about the smokers milling about directly outside my window and pumping their smoke into my AC unit, making our room very nasty indeed. Back door to the smoking pit was propped open all night, which isnt great for security. Maybe the train whistles from the nearby tracks kept the bad guys away, though. No fridge in the room. Room was not really clean, decor was dated and dark. Breakfast was avoided and we got out of there as quickly as possible. Bottom line: "independently owned and operated" sounds good, but only takes you as far as the owner wants to go. Plus, the owner isn't likely to fire himself if he does a poor job. Stick with a brand name chain where the management has to report back to Corporate and has standards to meet.

Very clean hotel with staff that is helpfulPosted Sep 8, 2015
Pros: The staff was great.
Cons: The fold out sofa mattress was terrible.
Location: We came for The Old Threshers Reunion over the Labor Day Holiday. It's a very fun family event. My kids (age 3,6, and 8) can't wait to go back.
We stayed Labor Day weekend 2015. We were very pleased with the cleanliness, but particularly pleased by the attitude and friendliness of the staff. We will stay again

When my wife and I walked in the fresh clean smell was welcoming. The staff were extremely polite and the rooms were very well decorated and clean.
