This was a very nice hotel right on the lakefront. We loved the complimentary snacks and beer at the welcome reception. That was fun! The restaurant is being re-done so the dining options were not ideal and there was a cafe that we were not sure was yet open or not. The pool and hot tub were super nice and the room was very comfortable and clean. My biggest complaint was the t.v. We were looking forward to watching a movie for the one night we were there on Netflix. Turns out our t.v. was not set up with wifi and upon asking the front desk we were told they were working replacing all the t.v.s and didn't get to our yet. So we thought we'd watch regular t.v. The guide was not working and the t.v. was extremely glitchy. Hard to watch anything when every minute or so, it froze up. So that was a bummer for our plans. The other complain was banging and loud vibrations from people working outside at 7 a.m. near our room's window. Too early for that! I'd stay here again and hope for a room with an upgraded t.v. and maybe stay on an upper floor to avoid construction noise.

I am glad you had a great stay with us. I'm sorry for the tv issues during your stay as well as the construction. I hope that you will come back once all the renovations are done in June. The tvs should be set up to stream Netflix and other streaming stations at that time.

I don’t like that they have back my 200 for incidentals and the very next day took $93 from me. I’ve been there plenty of times they never did it once they did it. This time wasn’t happy with it. I will not be returning to this place ever again.

I am responding to your review of your recent stay at the Hilton Lake Champlain Burlington. I'm sorry that your stay was not enjoyable for you. To explain the charges to your credit card: You were charged 200 for the incidentals (100/night) which is charged to all guests. If nothing was charged to the room, that fee would be returned to you at check out (it would actually be removed from your bill as it was just a hold and not a charge). The 93 and change charge was for parking (16/night) and the mandatory Urban Destination Fee (32/night) which includes the 10/day food and beverage credit, high speed WiFi, and other amenities at the hotel.

The gym was absolutely amazing! I brought my kids and we worked out for an hour. They had the long heavy ropes, 11 cardio machines, a deadlift/bench/squat machine, monkey bars, punching bag, adjustable weighted pull downs, kettle bells, dumbbells up to 70 lbs, medicine balls, step up platform, rope climbers, various bars and plates, and a trampoline - WOW!

The place is under construction. The "bar" is a makeshift conference room. It was very bright, and there were plastic tarps around the ceiling area. Otherwise, it was fine, but visually, it looked terrible. It would have been nice to know before I booked.

Find somewhere else to stay. I had a city view room directly, or the city view, apparently means looking straight onto a multistoried car park. People coming and going out of the car park could see straight into my room. If the room is not Lake facing, then it simply feels like an ordinary room in an ordinary hotel, and therefore $400/price charged is an extortionate price to pay. There is also mandatory facilities fee which is completely unreasonable, especially in deep winter where including a bike rental in that fee is useless as your can’t go cycling in deep snow. Not worth the money.

I’m not sure why the charged as much as they did for the poor condition of the hotel during renovations. The signage was not done well at all for finding where to go . The hotel lighting was too dark. I felt bad for the staff and I’m still confused about the food situation. The hotel was in a great location and was clean. However, the panoramic room was a bit of a scam. In Expedia both windows show a view of the lake but in reality only one of the windows shows a clear view of a lake, the other panoramic window shows the back of a building. When asked about why the room is different in reality, we were told that it was just a stock photo used on Expedia. If I knew this in advance, I wouldn't have paid the extra money for the panoramic view, I would have just paid for the regular lake view room.

Staff was friendly and helpful, and bed was comfortable and clean. However, if I had known that the hotel was STILL under renovation, rather than “newly renovated”as it was listed on Expedia site, I would have booked elsewhere. Check-in was located in a makeshift, congested hall, rather than the lobby, as the lobby was literally exposed to work equipment, gravel, etc with only a large sheet of plastic between machinery and hotel lobby 😳 There was a wedding reception with over 200 attendees which was beautiful, but prevented me from using the restaurant and when trying to call for in-room service, I was told that “the food hadn’t arrived yet” and I would receive a call when it did (within the hour). My call was not returned. Fire alarm during my first night went off and while some people evacuated as requested, others either stayed in Lobby or ML. Staff was kind, but unable to, in my opinion, safely able to evacuate all individuals or keep those of us outside updated on re-entry possibilities(temperature outside was 18 degrees F. I do feel fairly confident that once renovations are COMPLETE, it will again be a Hilton hotel that I would enjoy staying at.

I attempted to stay here, my hometown hotel I previously respected earlier this week, 12/27/23. Both times I tried to check were unsuccessful (once before 3pm, the time Expedia indicated I could, and once at 4pm, when the front desk staff told me to come back). Each time I was told that my room was not ready and that if I gave them my phone number, they would call me when it was. The second time, I was even told I would be expedited and the wait would be no more than 10 minutes. By 9pm that night, I had still not received any call. I called the property twice during the wait and the phone was not answered. As such, I had to make other arrangements and did not stay at this property. To date, I have not received any contact from the property despite my multiple methods and attempts to contact them in the following days. All I have received is Expedia's repeated attempts to ask me how my stay was. The short answer: I couldn't really say, as I was never provided a room. This property is currently under construction and it's clear the staff are doing their best to handle not only this, the satellite check-in area, and also the results of Vermont's hotel-motel program for the unhoused. It's clear the property is overwhelmed, understaffed, and out of their depth. The out-of-town couple waiting in the queue ahead of me to check in were so put off by the whole scene they cancelled, demanded a refund on the spot, and stayed elsewhere -- if only I'd had the foresight to do the same.

Hotel is under construction. Waited over an hour to check in only to discover our room was not ready. There were many people waiting in a lobby area for their rooms. Very hostile and negative atmosphere. We had requested feather free bedding due to allergies. This was neglected. Elevators were a mess. In the AM housekeeping uses the elevator and no one can fit due to there large carriers. And the elevators run very slow. I don’t more time waiting in the line to get on the elevator. There is a community coffee station. Housekeeping was using this. Chatting away and left two bags of trash all morning next to the coffee pots. Housekeeping on elevators chatting on personal calls. Loudly. No security in the hotel. A very mentally unstable/homeless woman was walking around inside screaming at everyone. Accused my daughter of doing things to her. Very scary. Not one staff member was around to assist for about 30 mins. Zero security. Could not wait to check out.

Burlington Hilton ought to be ashamed for the way we were treated for our one night stay on December 27. Our room was not ready and we were assigned another with a promised view of the lake, a view which we had already reserved and which we had received a photo of in confirmation of our reservation. The hotel was vastly underserved: No one answered our calls at the front desk;there was no one to give us reservations where we could have dinner, in light, in of the fact the hotel was not serving anything but sandwiches. Nor did the hotel provide advance notice that it was undergoing transformatives reservations which would undermine any services we likely expected to receive, such as a bar or a lounge or any of the customary amenities a hotel provides. It was easily the worst experience I've had in staying at a hotel with such an historically vaulted name as "Hilton." Couldn't leave fast enough

Property is under construction. We tried to check in at 4pm. Was in line for over an hour. Room was not ready. Many guests were having to wait hours to check in. Huge inconvenience as we had dinner plans. Staff was very kind however there is a huge problem with checkin and accommodations.
