We understand from our housekeeping team member that no malice was intended, and with no car parked in front of the room was unaware that your room was still occupied. Our staff are trained to knock firmly on the door 3 times to warn potential occupants before entering the room to collect towels and strip linen etc. We have met with all housekeeping staff and counseled them with regards to formally interacting with guests. We were pleased to hear that you otherwise enjoyed your stay.

Where there are no bookings, we order in minimal stock to ensure that our food is fresh and of the best quality at all times.

For an exceptionally low price of $92, you stayed in a 3½ star rated motel room with views out across the picturesque Burra Creek, only 350m from the town square of Burra, The room is equipped with a reverse air conditioner, fan heater, electric blankets and Foxtel. Toiletries, linen and tea & coffee facilities were provided, and our well reviewed restaurant was operating 2 doors down from your room. We welcome your direct contact recommending to us what we can offer that will make the $92 spend more worth your stay over a cottage not offering many of these features.

When you arrived just before 2pm, the manager was getting changed ready to open Reception at 2pm for check-in having just finished preparing the property for another full-house. Reception was manned by the manager for the remainder of the day, and any feedback would have been most welcome with efforts to remedy any issues you may have had. It is not unheard for housekeeping staff anywhere in the world to overlook something small when working a longer than usual 5 hour shift, particularly when rushing to ready the property in time for your 2pm check-in. Your stay would have, no doubt, been more enjoyable had you these matters to the manager's attention rather than writing about it here. Whilst we appreciate your opinion on other matters, this is clearly contradictory to that of the majority of other reviewers. Our property is a small, 3½ star motel in a rural town, not a 5 star resort, and is rated well in that regard. The manager did enjoy the friendly chat when you checked in and was surprised to see your negative feedback.
