Clean, convenient, and reasonably priced

My daughter and I spent a few days moving her in to her apartment. She's starting her grad program at USF this fall. It was a short stay but we managed to enjoy the pool, hot tub and buffet breakfast daily. Food was good and staff could not have been more pleasant!

This was a pleasure staying at Hilton Garden Inn. The staff was very excellent and did a great job. I will tell e everyone about my time at the Hilton Garden Inn. Thank you and the staff for a good stay.

Horrible, uncomfortable bed, dusty, A/C terrible

This hotel was a terrible experience. We stayed one night for a graduation at USF. The location was the only convenient thing about the hotel. The bed was supposed to be a "knock off sleep number" bed. It was the most uncomfortable bed on any of the settings. The soft, optimal, and firm settings didn't have much variation. The pillows were also so thin that you could feel the bed while laying on them. The A/C unit didn't work well at all. It shut off for most of the night making the room very stuffy and uncomfortable. We set the air to 70, and the temp rose to 74-75 throughout the night and was still set to 70. So there was definitely something wrong with the AC. There was sightly dust everywhere in the room, including night stands that could have easily been wiped down before we entered the room. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Not a pleasant experience.

Great staff but poor room condition

Staff really friendly and helpful especially Jakob and Michael (bus and restaurant). Rooms of good size and amenities. Location not very convenient but shuttle service and Uber very reliable. Comfortable and adjustable beds - yay! Very good breakfast options that is fairly priced. Good swimming and whirl pools - my family loved this. Quick cleaning thrice in a day or so would be good mainly to remove tadpoles/tiny frogs that kept leaping into the water. Carpet in the room old, musty and not so clean! Housekeeping terrible - poor job with showers, dusting and cleaning at window area. Obvious garbage boxes and discarded shopping bags weren't cleared for two days and we had to place them out of room for collection. TV remote in our room didn't work for entire week. Is room service USD 32? Do your own food pickups.

Nice Quiet Hotel in NE Tampa

This was my 4th visit. It has a friendly staff, good in house restaurant, quiet well appointed room and close to USF, Moffit Cancer Center and I-75. It is also easily accessible to Bush Gardens and Lowery Park Zoo.

Rude staff and unaccommodating.

We had to carry four people's luggage to and from the room. We were told for two days that they had no luggage carts anywhere in the hotel, that someone must have had them in their room. There was mold coming out of the ceiling and ac vents, we were first put in a handicap room with a toddler to bathe and no bath tub, and were rushed to leave. We got back to the hotel late from Busch Gardens because we were stuck.on the parking lot trying to leave for 2 hours. This was due to having to drive when we were told the free shuttle from the hotel was not running because they had nobody to drive it. That was one of the main reasons we chose to stay there was to have a free shuttle to the park where we didn't have to drive. Since we didn't get in to bed after bathing all four people until about 2:30 a.m., we asked if we could extend the checkout time of 12 a little. The front desk told us no problem, just check out at 1 p.m.. That was THEIR time they gave us. Starting at 12:00 p.m. we had five people knock on the door, and three phone calls rudely asking if we were going to check out sometime today. Then while exiting the room, we were surrounding by a whole cleaning crew basically blocking the door with carts and a vacuum. I have had better hotel experiences at crappy rundown dives than I did here. It is a shame because we always stay at Hilton Hotel s and always have a good experience. This time however, our place of stay ruined the entire trip. I will NEVER go back to this hotel.

Clean and safer location

We enjoyed our stay. We had an appt at the Shriners hospital and wanted to go to the water park too. We chose the Hilton Garden because of the better location, near restaurants and they offered a shuttle to the park. Well the shuttle was not working so we had to drive. There was no towels for the pool and we had to wait for them to get them out of the dryer. The breakfast buffet was expensive and the eggs were cold. When we returned the van and another car blocked the driveway. We had to run in the rain to the car and I know that isn't too much to complain but the car and van were still blocking the driveway an hour and a half later. But the staff was friendly and the place was clean. I would stay again. Also the ice machine was broke on our floor. Fairly new place so they need to make sure these things are working. Also you couldnt get on the WIFI

Close to Busch Gardens & Nice overall!

Solid hotel! The pool was a bit dirty, even by a Floridians standard (tons of bugs in it), but everything else was nice. It was less than 15 minutes from Busch Gardens, which was the purpose of our stay, so that was very convenient. The pillows hurt my neck (they were all the feather type, not very firm, which doesn't work well for me), but the beds themselves were fine. The breakfast (Not included) wasn't amazing, but not TOO overpriced, and worth the convenience factor of staying on-site. Overall, good bang for your buck! Also, hotels.com said check-in was 4, and check-out was 11, but it was actually 3pm and 12pm, so even better! They did a $20 credit card hold for incidentals, but no resort fees or parking charges.
