A little oasis

Posted Aug 30, 2016
Pros: Clean, inexpensive.
Location: Yellowstone is just a few hours away, as is scenic northern Idaho.
Deer Lodge is a tiny place close to scenic northern Idaho and not too far from Yellowstone. This made it a convenient stop on a long sight-seeing trip from British Columbia to Chicago. Hotel prices in Missoula and Butte were considerably higher. The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the staff very welcoming. There is a family restaurant just a short walk away.

OK for just one night

Posted Aug 28, 2016
Just needed a place to sleep, and this fit the bill fine. It is outdated and the bed wasn't the most comfortable, but for the price it worked OK for just spending one night.

A "name brand" hotel

Posted Aug 20, 2016
Pros: The staff was great.
Cons: Clean carpet. A place for toiletries in the bathroom.
Location: The location is right off I-90. There are several museums in town that are unique and very interesting.
This facility is close to I-90. It is older but clean. The carpeting is stained and the linens are older, but it is all clean. The handicapped bathroom has no place to put toiletries nor does it have a place in the shower to put soap or other toiletries. The staff was great, friendly, and accommodating. You can hear people walking in the hallway and upstairs. The continental breakfast was sparse. We chose to eat breakfast elsewhere. There is no pool or exercise facility. All in all, though, it is a clean place to lay your head for the night.

Nice Stop for the Night

Posted Aug 9, 2016
When traveling cross-country, it's nice to stop at a place that is clean, comfortable and provides decent amenities. I appreciated having a well-working fridge in the room (something a lot of places don't have - fridge, yes; working well, no). A hot breakfast was included (another point to be appreciated when on a long trip) and the staff was very friendly. The walls could probably be better insulated/sound proofed as it did get a touch noisy at night, but other than that, a pleasant stop.

Arguably, the best one in this small town.

Posted Jul 29, 2016
Pros: Quality of the physical facility was comparable to most of the mainline chain motels. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was meatless.
Location: We prefer to stay in this friendly small town rather than in Butte.
Quality has improved since Travelodge took over. I have stayed in a few of the "Mom and Pop" independent motels in Deer Lodge, and this one is better than than any of those.

This hotel needs to be updated

Posted Jul 16, 2016
Convenient location. However this hotel needs to be remodeled..the colors are dark, faded, old brown. The doors arw feom the 70,s. The linoleum in the bathroom is dark and outdated though clean. The toilet needs to be updated to low flush . It is also very low even for a short person. Underxover boss needs to go and spend a night here. The maid kickes clean linen on the cart with feet (disgusting). Felt sorry for the lovely receptionist who checked us in who had numerous jobs to do but had a great attitude and smile. She had to vacuum, take out trash, provide guests with items that maids had forgotten to provide in rooms
