    5/5 Excellent

I loved my recent stay at the Jug & Glass Inn! It was in the perfect location in the Peak District, and my room was quiet and cozy. The food was incredible! I ate the best lasagna I’ve ever had.

I was extremely disappointed in this property. The accommodation was far from being the 'luxury' advertised. The room decor and furnishings were very 'tired'. The room was exceptionally noisy from the busy road that the pub was situated on. As it was a hot day, I had no choice but to have the window open and this meant I was unable to cut out the noise of traffic. The window was very small and this meant the ventilation in the room was poor and the room had a feeling of being airless. Also, on opening the door the room had a stale smell that lingered for the duration of the visit. I did ask if I could swop rooms but the pub was busy, people were arriving and the only option was to upgrade. This room was brighter but carried an extra charge of £20 per night and traffic from the road could still be heard. If it wasn't for the fact that I had a non refundable room, I would not have stayed for my second night. When you consider what a beautiful area of the country you are in then this place was over priced and disappointing. I felt misled.
