The room was spacious and clean. I think a change of carpet would really make it “fresher”. Bed was firm but comfortable. Nice hot shower. Even though there was a sofa in the room, it really could’ve had a desk and chair for more seating. A breakfast offering would help. Great value for the money.

I fell asleep, with the light on and awoke after 1.5 hours. I opened my eyes to see a little bug crawling out from under the sheet on the opposite side of the bed. I took the bug to the night manager, a woman, who said they didn’t have any other rooms available. ( as if I could sleep in another room), and she “couldn’t do anything until I talked with my manager”. I checked out and ended up sleeping in my car at the Walmart in Oxford. I have received no contact from this hotel. They have all my contact information and I sent an email, (October 31, 2023), requesting a refund and have not received a response. Horrible customer service!!

Once again, we apologize for you less than pleasant stay. Your charges for the room were adjusted and reversed back on the card that was used for the payment on the same day of your departure. We did communicate that back to you when you said that Expedia is asking for the review. We take this kind of matter very seriously and did a full inspection of the room. We failed to find any sign of bad bugs in the room. Regardless, we apologize once again for your inconvenience.

The turn off road / street was not clearly marked but thats not fault of the property. Checked in late, no problems. Really no complaints.

What we liked about the property, was the hospitality, flowers, and the store/gas station that was nearby. There was nothing about the property that we did not like.

Asked for a non smoking room but was given a smoking room. Guess that worked out as I had to get some scented candles to get rid of the smell. We have a dog so I guess this is the only pet friendly room they had.

Great, clean, basic motel
I very much enjoyed my stay here. It’s a basic motel that was clean and very suitable for my solo, one night stay. On site parking, easy check in, clean room with what appeared to be new bed and new flat screen tv, working remote and cable, free Wi-Fi, room equipped with iron and ironing board, hair dryer, microwave, mini fridge, hangers for clothes, and ice machine conveniently located. It far exceeded my expectations for the low rate I was paying.

It was just an over night stay for us on our way to Florida. The beds were comfortable & I had a good nights sleep. My friend told me about the motel, so thats why I booked it. I would stay there again the next time going to Florida.

It was okay for what we needed it for. The walls are thin so you hear everything from the other rooms. We had checked in for two nights. First morning the maid was banging on our door at 8:50 to clean the room. This is unacceptable considering check out isn’t until 11. She came back again at 10:30 banging again. When I opened the door she said she had towels for us… I informed her we’d just arrived last 15 hours ago and we hadn’t had a chance to use the towels or shower yet. The bathroom sink tap was broken and it constantly comes off. The bedspreads are very noticeably stained. The chairs were also horribly stained and literally had fabric falling off of them. They need to invest in some updating. They have no business charging for pets when they put you in a room that’s in such a state of disrepair.

Blacked out!
Room was clean and comfortable. Power went out around 4 am and was off for a few hours. Not a very pleasant experience but it could have been worse. Also I don't think it was the hotel as the power was out everywhere in town. Overall a decent stay and an experience to remember!

GOOD LAST MINUTE FIND
Stayed here for football game at Ole Miss. Further away than optimal, but that is not motel's fault. Easy check-in and -out, friendly staff. I was on ground floor so no stairs to climb. Clean appearance inside and out. Everything I used worked though I did not know how to use diverter in bathtub (recurring issue for me). I enjoyed the stay and would stay at ACVI in Byhalia again.

Get what you pay for.
Although it was clean and comfortable, we had issues with the toilet flushing. About 8 am, the ceiling in our bathroom began to leak - with water pouring from the ceiling. To their credit, they did take care of this pretty quickly, but they did not offer us any compensation for the trouble.
