Very convenient location to town, it wasn’t stated clearly that there was a shared kitchen and lounge area. Also the bins were full when we arrived and weren’t emptied throughout our stay

Very convenient and comfortable

We had a great timeat bay haven lodge. The accommodation style is a little unusual as you dont have the whole place to yourself- you have shared communal kitchen lounge and outdoor space with fellow travelers, but your own bathroom. The accommodation is quite nice though and in a great location- very easy to walk to the shops, beach and a good long walk to the lighthouse. I would stay here again- but maybe with friends sharing the communal space.

Nice place, AirBnB style, but very small amenities

Very nicely furshished, but quite small room. Shower and toilet is very small so only good for a night or two before becoming inconvenient. It’s actually setup as an AirBnB apartment, with individual door codes etc. Excellent location, easy walking distance to the main areas of Byron. Parking is bad though, with no parking at the property and paid parking on the street from 9am to 6pm. WiFi was good, and overall it was good but very small.

Teeny tiny room

There is definitely some trick photography done in these pics! The rooms are super small. The photos show the bed with a sitting area, however the sitting area is actually in the common front entrance, which the door is not usually left open. We had to climb over our luggage to get to the bathroom as there was no where to put the luggage. The bathroom has no sink or mirror and you have to get into the bedroom to use the sink and mirror. The staff however were cery friendly and kind.

Disappointed

Pros: The sunny veranda at the front.
Cons: Contactable staff
Location: It's Byron - restaurants, surfing, shopping
Confirmation of booking advises that the accommodation does not have on site reception, and to contact re check-in. 3 phone calls and 2 emails to get a response. On check in the staff member was very pleasant. However, we had no hot water. I had 3 cold showers, one being preparing for my daughter's wedding, before being able to make contact with the owners. There are no on-site staff, and they are not contactable by phone. I tried numerous times from late afternoon to mid-morning next day and the response came from a note I left at the office door. The room is small, with the only clothes hanging space being two 3M hooks on the back of the door. The bathroom is so small you have to move sideways out of the shower. Using the toilet requires a shuffle to shut the door. The long life milk provided had already been opened!! There is no fridge. Overall, very disappointing. Given the photos on the website and the cost, I had higher expectations. The offer of a future discount does not do it - was looking forward to the stay.

Photo misleading.Not worth the money.

This one does not have parking for guests. (The one across the street is another accommodation that has parking space for guests... and it is a bit cheaper..) The room is so small. The bathroom sink was not working properly. Ended up flooding the shower area. The sink as well did not work properly. Timber flooring makes a (loud) noise when people are walking around. Owners could thought of putting a carpet instead. I should have booked the one across or the one in the town (even if they are 50$ more). Middle of the night alarm went off for about 10 seconds.

Small very small

Photos of the room on website are accurate but very deceptive to room size. Room is tiny bathroom is worse I could touch one side of the shower and the complete other side of the bathroom at the same time. But worst of all was advertised as a rainfall showerhead and was just a regular one that was ZIP TIED on yes ziptied on and the shower shelf was broken and nearly falling off. And one of the buttons on the toilet was broken. There was no tv remote. And the heater would be lucky if it was a 'warmer . We did get the cheapest room but would still expect more from a luxury lodge.

Very small rooms, good if you don't want to relax in there. Our shower leaked through to the toilet making every trip to the bathroom unpleasant.
