The Hotel is close to the beach. Staff was helpful. The price good. The problem was the food. The food in the restaurants was actually good. The problem was the anytime buffet food that I thought was horrible. Hamburgers in water, greasey chips! Not very good. Overall the resort was nice For the price but the food needs improvement

The hotel not to go to in Cabarete

Cabarete is a great place to go to but this hotel is not the one to visit. Food was just aweful cleanliness was bad, the first day there I was seen calling numerous times for towels since I had none. My bed was a mess and I took off a pillow cover as it was dirty so they can replace it but they simple took the dirty one and left the pillow w/o a cover. The pool activities were just like an hour in the morning and that's it. Somehow .. idk if someone was trying to open it, but we had to get help form staff since our safe was not opening. Now the places around the hotel, restaurants, beach, clubs and bars are great! The area is fun w much to do.

Great hotel just one small big thing...

The hotel was great staff very friendly pool beach and facilities well maintained. The snack bar food could have been better. Booked room based on foam pool party that disnt happen.The location was great 10 min walk to downtown Cabarete. The only draw back is the wifi they offer wifi but you have to pay for access. I personally feel you should give your customers free acess to wifi. Especially when small dive hotels in the area offer free wifi. Wifi help people stay in touch and also inform future customers about their excellent stay. Thanks much but get with the year 2017 and offer free access to your guests don't bank money off the money you can get from the wifi and bank on your customers experience and returning for future stays.

Don't Waste Your Money

I should have known something was off about this resort when I could not find any pictures of our hotel room anywhere online! My bf and I thought the resort was ok to say the least but I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for a touristy experience! There was 1 bar that only stocked Dominican liquors, 1 buffet that served bland food, 2 restaurants that served editable food ( Italian and Mexican) 2 pools and 1 jacuzzi that never even reached lukewarm temperatures (and they were only cleaned once a day) and a bar and another restaurant on the resort that wasn't part of the resort! Go figure! The room was barely cleaned, hair everywhere, rusty shower head, no face towels until our 3rd day, no mini fudge, a $2 a day charge to use the safe, and wifi charged by the minute! We just used the free WiFi in the lobby! The view from the balcony in our room was breathtaking! Only thing saving that sinking ship of a room! The staff was not friendly and the salesman and women on the resort pushing timeshares and vacation plan packages were harassing us! It got to the point we had to avoid the lobby all together! However, I would rather walk through that lobby than into the buffet! The food was just plain gross! The icing on the cake was the fact that our Expedia Rep, the person welcoming us to the resort and helping us book fun activities NEVER SHOWED UP! Very disappointing overall! Save your money!

Old Hotel by beach

Rooms were not cleaned in a timely manner and something was always missing we had to ask for. Staff was not always friendly. We felt at times like we were ignored. One night we were waiting for a drink and they served others around us and we gave up and went to our room w/o a drink. Beds very uncomfortable!! There is nothing really to do after supper. I will not go back.

Was consistent with last time we stayed there

Pros: I like the waitstaff, pool and proximity to the beach and town.
Cons: Airconditioning, and intoroduce top shelf liquor option. But food was better than average, and the staff is accomodating and friendly.
Location: Great Beach, Kite Boarding
This is a solid 3/3.5 star. With the exception of some paint, and LED lighting and new power sockets, the overall experience remained the same. Not to say that is a bad thing, but it should not be claimed rennovated. I do understand that the new building is much nicer than the other buildings.

Nice beach-pool but landscape smells like sewage!

Slummy part of Dominican Rep., Hotel has been redone but they have major issues. No WiFi except in lobby so dozens of people are huddled up in lobby along with people checking in or out. Now the worst is they place smells' like sewage, honest it does as they have these pvc pipes in the landscape pumping water and it is not brown but it totally reeks, must be processed water but again it gags you. The food is just ok, unless you get reservations at the Italian or Melt Fusion restaurant. We ran into some people who had 7 day stay and they left after a day or two. We also had numerous blackouts and it is close to impossible to get a straight answer out of anyone, water turns off also when power is off so no shower or toilet. The beach is crazy windy so if you kite or windsurf that makes up for it a bit but again the rest of the place is a train wreck and I would never recommend this place to any friends as they would unfriend me.

Worst resort anyone can stay in.

Front desk very unprofessional, they don't greet customer's. Room is dirty and fallen apart, staff people not Frendly. i wouldn't recommend this resort.

WORST RESORT EVER BEEN TO

WHEN ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND ARRIVED OUR ROOM WAS FLOODED FROM AN A/C PROBLEM AND WE ENDED UP IN A ROOM WITH A VIEW TO THE NOISY KITCHEN AREA SOMEWHERE IN THE BACK PART OF THE BUILDING. WE ALSO MADE RESERVATIONS TO HAVE DINNER AT AN ITALIAN RESTAURANT AND WERE NOT ABLE TO HAVE DINNER BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WAY OF WALKING TO THE RESTAURANT DUE TO SOME HEAVY RAIN. WE WENT TO A LOUNGE DOWNSTAIRS AND WHILE WE WERE THERE SOMETHING FELL FROM THE CEILING AND HIT ME IN THE FACE AND SCRATCHED MY FACE...DID NOT GET AN APOLOGY OR ANYTHING. I ALSO ORDERED A LOCAL BEER (PRESIDENTE) AND THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY. ON ANOTHER NIGHT WE WERE HUNGRY AND WANTED TO TAKE SOME FOOD TO OUR ROOM AND WE WERE TOLD THAT WE COULD NOT TAKE FOOD UPSTAIRS TO OUR ROOM.
