Hotel decent, but likely will return.

Posted Aug 13, 2017
Hotel is older. Lobby is decent but bathrooms need remodeling. Not enough restaurant food selections. After day 3, seemed like you were eating the same things. And prices of food were ridiculously expensive. First meal was lunch as we got there at 1. And it was two taco plates which consisted of 2 small taco each, one salad with 2 drinks and that was $110. Each drink at the pool bar will run you about $12 each not including tip. We did go to town to eat somewhere else and that pretty much will run you about $14 each for taxi. The hotel employees are very courteous and work so hard in the humid hot weather at this time of the year there. The worst part of the stay, we were a party of 13 and 8 of us all got sick with stomach issues. Needless to say we will not be returning there.

Fantastic!

Posted Aug 12, 2017
Pros: Everything!
Cons: When people are trying to check in try and transition it into a time share purchase.
Location: Surf, Sun, Fun!
Everybody and everything was fantastic! The only thing I didn't like was how much time they take while you check in to your room. They sit you down to check in and it turns into a time share introduction. Serious waste of time! Everything else was excellent!!

Fabulous oceanfront vacation.

Posted Aug 8, 2017
Pros: Almost everything. Service is great, but on Mexican time. Not unusual to me, had to convince the family that not everything is split second like in US.
Cons: We were on meal plan. Minibar service came by every day, but re-stocked nothing.
Location: 15 minutes to Cabo marina $25 usd cab, they don't want peso's). 40 minutes to airport.
Resort is right on the beach, but surf is too rough to go in the water. No worry though, as experiencing the amazing surf and being able to walk the beach was fantastic. We had oceanfront rooms, one king, one double queen, adjoining (2314 & 2315). Perfect for our 5. Surf literally shook the windows, which we found really cool. We went in August, so pools were 90+ water temp, hot (based on our 80+ degree Texas home pool temps). We had the meal plan so we ate on property almost all meals. Food was pretty good, great at De Cortez. Service was great at every turn though you still have to ask for the tab, it doesn't automatically come when you say you are done. Although we tried to use our rudimentary Spanish, everyone spoke fantastic English and were happy not only hear us try, but also to guide us on our bad Spanish. Meal plan wines were a more limited. I have 25+years of wine business experience. We tried many Mexican wines, primarily Sauv Blanc's & red blends. We kept our choices to Mexican or South American and were very pleased. I can get Duckhorn anywhere! 15 minute, $25 cab ride to Puerto Pariso/Marina. ALL businesses prefer USD to peso, regardless of the notifications in the hotel that the government requires peso transactions. Played the Desert course. Unbelievable conditions, especially for how hot it was. Free water bottles about every 4 hole, beverage cart offered ice regardless of purchase and course monitors came by 3x in the round to offer cool towels.

Nice hotel on the beach, but overpriced

Posted Aug 7, 2017
Pros: Facilities
Cons: Food and service
Location: Not much, had to drive in to town. Timeshare folks too aggressive.
Ok, not what I expected from a resort. Pool bar closed too early. Food was terrible.

This hotel exceeded my expectations.

Posted Aug 6, 2017
Pros: Pretty much everything.
Cons: Adults only areas and a pool.
The Sheraton is absolutely beautiful. The architecture, the location, and the extremely well-maintained facilities are impressive. The staff is extremely capable and also extremely kind and friendly. Big kudos to the Manager and to all of the staff. The hotel is capable of appealing to a wide range of clients, with daily activities, children's areas, and various happy hours, which means you can get drinks half-off pretty much from 11:00am onwards if you want to. Also, the food is quite good in all the restaurants and the special evening buffets with entertainment were well attended. Do I have any recommendations? Yes. I was very disappointed that, with so many pools, there wasn't an adults only pool. I highly recommend that they make the pool with the swim-up bar adults only and maybe keep it open later than 5:00 PM. That would make a huge difference to those who are in Cabo to relax.

The hotel was beautiful! It was the perfect getaway. The pools and restaurants were beautiful, happy hour times were given and they were not all the same times so you can drink all at for a great price. The shuttle service with the hotel was great because taxi's charge triple the price that the hotel shuttle does. Overall, love my stay here and will probably stay here again in the future.

Great view. Events such as buffet were slightly overpriced. Kinda far from downtown and have the taxi rates. But nothing beats the view. Still worth it.
