The staff was wonderful and they helped book some activities for us. The breakfast was wonderful each morning. Luis with the breakfast staff was super sweet and knowledgeable about things to see and do in Tamarindo as well as La Fortuna. Justin at the front desk was great too. I have To say the housekeeping staff impressed me most though. My sister accidentally left $500 on her bed and the housekeeper tucked it in her bed covers to keep it safe. Such a wonderful and honest establishment!

Beautiful boutique hotel. Felt like in a guesthouse. Location is 15 mins walk from the beach and all the restaurants and shops. The road is not done though- no side walks. But at the end it didn’t matter. The peacefulness of Tamarindo took over and after a week we didn’t want to leave. Great breakfast, although I felt the lack of green/vege salads option.

Well kept and beautiful looking property a short walk from Tamarindo city and beach. Super friendly staff and very well kept property. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious!! Pool is on the smaller side, but never had more than 2-3 people at it. Never had a problem getting parking. Room is very clean and well maintained, air con worked great and bathroom was very nice. Area around the hotel is mainly housing and small hotels, but super easy access to downtown Tamarindo through the back walking path. Not at all a beach hotel, but an easy 10 minute walk gets you anywhere you need to be - including the beach! Never had any issues with noise, day or night. Would definitely stay here again if back in Tamarindo!

Our stay was just wonderful! Staff was lovely, our little casita was adorable (and clean!), the pool area was relaxing and private, and our breakfast was delicious! Would recommend.

This is the perfect hotel for staying in Tamarindo. It is an easy walk to everything in town, the breakfast is excellent, the staff are so friendly and helpful, and the pool is a perfect spot to relax when the day is hot.

The host and owner was onsite daily and offered many great suggestions for dining out. Staff was attentive and friendly. Bungalow was clean and well maintained, with very comfortable bed. Breakfast options were all delicious. Pool and seating areas were great. Highly recommend!!

A wonderful Christmas in Tamarindo
We had a wonderful experience at Arco Iris. The walk to the beach was easy and there was a grocery store, pharmacy and at least one bank w/ATM on the way. Overall the room we got was fairly quiet and the air conditioning worked well. Nothing particularly special about the room itself but the bed was comfortable and it was cleaned daily. Oh, and at certain times of the day you could see and hear howler monkeys from the pool. Breakfast was really good for a small mom & pop style (privately owned) hotel. It was freshly made to order and there were probably about eight options to choose from. I went with pancakes most days, my wife took the egg path on occasion, neither of us had any complaints. The pool was pretty small but had well shaded options for seating/laying out when the heat and humidity is a bit much. There were never more than 2-4 other people there during our trip. Really, though, I imagine most people would walk the 7 minutes to the beach. Sorry this review is a bit all over the place, but the general point is - it was worth it and we genuinely enjoyed our time while staying in Tamarindo.

A quiet oasis of calm in bustling Tamarindo. We were greeted by howler monkeys on arrival and a large iguana. The breakfast/bar/pool area was lovely with many sunbeds and loungers. Breakfast was excellent and served with a dazzling smile by our waiter. We were in a king suite one night and a queen bungalow for two more. We even cracked the code of the shower levers for hot and cold. A perfect stay.

Such a great experience staying at this amazing boutique hotel. The staff were very friendly, the breakfasts were outstanding and the location was ideal. Next time we come to Tamarindo, we will for sure stay here again.

Justin was awesome and helped carry our luggage to our room. Hotel has a laundry service, Justin even carried the fresh laundry to our room. Steve and Richard were very friendly. Great quaint atmosphere and breakfast was delicious.

Hotel Arco Iris has a very cool vibe. It feels very secluded when inside the property, but it is so close to everything in town and very walkable. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was delicious!

It really made you feel like you were in the jungle of costa rica, as corny as that sounds. The iguanas were so cute and the staff was very accommodating. Everyone there was soo polite. The rooms could be updated painting wise and filling in some cracks but it was an overall great place tp rest after a days outing. To keep out ants insulating the doors could help. The breakfast was AMAZING, and left me wanting more. The beach is within walkable distance and so are souvenir shops/restaurant. This is the most convenient stay I ever had.

I am so happy you had such a great stay and that you liked so many things about the hotel. Sometimes we can get ants especially when it rains. Part if being in the jungle. Normally there are not to many and if guests let us know it is easy to take care of. As you know we do a good cleaning every day. We actually just remodeled and updated the hotel. We had a leak in the shower above you, while you were here and that caused the cracks in the paint We are sorry for this.We have fixed the problem.
