Well located and good value

Posted Dec 15, 2016
Pros: Convenient for local amenities, including the ferry to Cadiz which ran all day until around 10.00pm and was very cheap, the journey taking 30 minutes.
Cons: Would have liked Wifi in the room. Breakfast disappointed. Booked early only to be swamped by a big coach party who demolished pretty much everything.
Location: Just off seafront. Ideal for tourists. Winery sherry tour is a must. Old town nearby and well worth a visit.
A little difficult to find as a first timer as the local hotel direction sign pointed us down an incorrect one way street. Great location, just one street off the sea front. Lovely public rooms, refurbished to a high standard in traditional Spanish style. The reception staff were lovely and check in was quick and simple. We parked our hire car in the hotel's private and secure car park from which access back to the hotel was through a private connecting door. Our room was clean, tidy and furnished in a simple and attractive style. The bathroom was spotless and had both bath and shower. Loads of on demand hot water.

Convenient Location for Train Station

Great hotel bar and dining room area. Morning breakfast was average. Each front desk clerk spoke English and was very helpful in recommending restaurants and bodegas to visit. Only two blocks from train station.

Nice hotel needs wifi

No wifi in the rooms only in the cafeteria and lobby. The people were lovely. The bathtub had a very weird smell to it.

Pros: The hotel like El Puerto are a beautiful part of the history of Spain. Loved it.
Cons: They could provide a better TV set.
Location: Located within a reasonable drive to Seville, and a short drive to Cadiz and the Airport at Jerez. A short walk to historical and lively downtown.
Great experience. Professional and friendly staff.

Good Hotel

The reception staff were very nice and allowed us early access to our room. Car parking was cheaper than normal. Santa Maria was very interesting with many old Sherry & Brandy warehouses. Would go back for another stay. The Ferry to Cadiz was exceptional and cheap at 2.65 Euros. A lovely little cruise.

There is no real 'neighbourhood'. However, the hotel is lovely and is only 5 mins or so from the railway station and 10 mins easy walk into the town. We stayed out of season in November and the rate obtained by hotels.com was extremely good. Our room was large - how nice to have a sofa and two other chairs. No outside view but the internal courtyard and balcony make up for that. If you want a non-smoking room, make sure you double-check at Reception. Excellent breakfast buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Staying in El Puerto to visit family, regular visitor to town but this hotel was new to us and was convenient for Rail Station and to the town centre and its exciting nightlife and pavement culture
