Klein aber fein !

Posted Aug 14, 2015

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Jerez

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: Nothing.
Location: Great location, right in the heart of Jerez close to the shops, restaurants and sherry houses. Ideally located for the train/bus stations too.
Love this beautiful hotel for it's friendly staff and terrific location. They "bent over backwards" to make our stay very happy and tried to please wherever they could. Our room was very comfortable with lovely views over the square. This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and I will definitely return again.

Comfortable stay in Jerez

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: Monica!
Cons: Air conditioning was hard to adjust, leaving the room either too hot or a tad too cold.
We stayed two nights at Casa Grande and we're very pleased with our choice of hotel. Casa Grande is a small hotel so don't expect a full restaurant or bar but the breakfast buffet was good and the hot breakfast - made to order - was delicious. There are a couple small rooms in which you can lounge or read a book and if you'd like to enjoy a glass of wine or a gin and tonic, just place your order with the receptionist. The person most often around was Monica, who I think is the owner. She was an absolute font of knowledge, with lots of local insights and excellent recommendations. Our rooms were basic but comfortable and very clean. The hotel is very centrally located, which is great for exploring on foot but did mean we had to traverse some rather narrow streets on our way in and out. If you're lucky, you can get the one parking spot right next to the hotel but if it's taken, speak with Monica and she'll find a place for your car. Overall, a very pleasant boutique hotel with a lovely ambience. A very nice change from the more corporate ambience of the larger, chain hotels and paradors. An excellent option for a few days in Jerez.

Good location

Good location and excellent breakfast but would ask for room away from front facing plaza as quite a bit of traffic noise all night.

A brilliant stay at Hotel Casa Grande

Posted Jun 7, 2015
Pros: We had a beautiful room at the front of the hotel with lovely views of the square. The hotel was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Jerez is a really lovely interesting city which is easy to walk around and the locals were very welcoming everywhere we went.
We stayed 6 nights at the Hotel Casa Grande and from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and this continued throughout our stay. Monika and the rest of the staff were very helpful at all times giving us lots of advice about the best restaurants to eat at, information about the places to visit in Jerez, supplied us with timetables for the trains and buses and gave us maps for the areas we were wishing to visit , nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was full of character and the furnishings matched the style of the hotel completely. The roof top terrace was brilliant for sunbathing in the day and for sitting at night enjoying a bottle of wine.
