Fantastic bedroom terrace with great views. Downside was having to park in the main town carpark. We then walked uphill through the old town. I would advise getting a taxi from the car park.

The terrace off of our room had a magnificent 180 degree panoramic view from the church on the heights across a beautiful valley with cultivated fields and orchards. A flock of black birds lives in a crevice in the cliff below the church and flew in fascinating formations. Simply stunning at all times of day, sunset and starlit night!

Amazing balcony views
A lovely hotel. Our room,10, had a balcony with amazing views. The room was small but comfortable, excellent for an overnight stay. The only downside was the TV didn't work, but that didn't bother us. Would definitely use again.

Quaint with million dollar view
Small hotel in the city center. Driving is difficult and finding a parking spot is even harder. But, the rooms are updated and the bedding was great. View — unbelievable !! Stayed here because it was a Rick Steves recommendation. Only disappointment is that there is a charge for breakfast.

One of our very favorites in all the world
Staying at El Convento is just glorious because of the view. The balconies are stunning with all the intricate tilework. The birds flying around the cliffs below, the bells from the cathedral, a bottle of wine....we didn't want to leave.

What a wonderful hotel.
The perfect hotel in the perfect location. Rooms have balcony or terrace with views to die for. I've visited Arcos de la Frontera multiple times, but this is my first stay at El Convento. I'll be booking this hotel next time.

Great Property — tricky to get to
Nice hotel and friendly staff. View is great. Had a room with a terrace. You CAN NOT drive there. Best advice is to park at their sister hotel and walk (15 minutes) or taxi there.

Great stay in Arcos de ls Frontera
The view was great. The staff was helpful. The location in the old town of Arcos was excellent. The arrangement to park at Los Olivos hotel was excellent since the lot was guarded and we didn't have to drive into the old town which would have been challenging.

Very quite location.
When we first arrived we were given a room with 2 twin beds. I asked for 1 double and for some reason, it wasn't on the reservation. But the front desk found us a room with a double once we informed them we were there for a romantic getaway.

The joy of Arcos
Fantastic located in the old town, with a warm welcome from the reception team. Add bounes of a balcony with breathtaking view. Recommend that anyone travling by car, check and agree the parking arrange with the hotel reception in advance of arriving. No parking onsite and the roads to the hotel are through very narrow streets.

Right in the middle of this quaint, mountain town. Very walkable once you are in town. Offered reduced rate parking at their sister property so you don;t need to worry about the car. Beautiful views from the room terrace and they set up and served breakfast after we ordered so that we could sit outside and enjoy! First time I've had an actual key to a room in a LONG time! :)

Spectacular little gem of a hotel in perfect location with very sweet staff. Rooms are fairly basic but the terraces and patios offer the most amazing views. Highly recommend. We loved our stay.

Perched on the top of the hill in Arcos, this hotel offers absolutely spectacular views. Rooms are comfortable and roomy and have amazing large terraces. The location is perfect. We are happy we took the hotel up on the offer to park our rental car in the secure lot of their sister hotel. We enjoyed our short stay at this nice hotel.

Amazing terrace with views!! Location was central but a little difficult to get to initially. There weren’t really any amenities to speak of.. no complimentary breakfast or afternoon tea/coffee. Most European hotels go above and beyond. Service of staff was just ok.

Traveling in Spain and Portugal.
The hotel location is nice, beautiful historic buildings and good views from the room balcony. But the street was closed due to a festival. So have to park down the center in a garage, about 1 kilometer away.

Superb location
Very well located at the top of the town very close to the castle area. Lovely patio with amazing views over the valley and mountains. Only drawback is difficulty finding parking and the need to drive through incredibly narrow streets to get there. Lovely staff and great room.

Highly recommend!
Super stay in this small but impressive hotel. Our room had a gorgeous terrace with the best panoramic views in the city. The staff were helpful. We had a bottle of wine one evening and breakfast one morning... both were super value. Highly recommend!

Amazing view from rooms with balconies, and great location! Lola was very helpful. DO visit the roof terrace...stunning views for sunset wine or breakfast. Parking is a bit complicated in Arcos... at the town square. And be forewarned, VERY narrow streets with abrupt corners!

Amazing Views!
The Convento was a great stop in Arcos de la Frontera. The view is absolutely amazing and can’t be beat. It truly was the highlight of the hotel and worth the hike up the hill to get there. Discounted parking is available at a sister hotel to the convent about 10 minutes walk away. 8Euro. Or the underground parking lot at the entrance to the old town has a discounted rate of 10Euro for hotel guests. The breakfast was not included but very affordable and cooked to order. We ran into rain and had our breakfast inside, but I imagine that with better weather breakfast on the rooftop patio with fantastic views would have been wonderful. The rooms are vey clean and basic. Water pressure is good. Hot water is adequate, but limited. The WiFi was very spotty and not fast enough for streaming and a times too slow for basic internet. We ended up in the Rick Steves-Periodista Turistica suite. We hadn’t realized but this hotel comes highly recommended. We also recommend stopping by the Bar Carcel just down the hill from the hotel for evening tapas. It’s very convenient to the hotel. The ambience was great, service was friendly and professional and the food was fantastic. We’ll likely stay here again in the future if we return to Arcos.

Beautiful Parador.
What a wonderful town...romantic. The Parador was lovely and we always make great effort to be gracious, representing USA, to all other countries. I learn as much language as possible, smile, and make an effort. All around Spain...Madrid, Cordoba, Sevilla, Arcos, Marbella, Estepona....everyone was welcoming and gracious back. Ronda...not so much. The employees of The Parador of Ronda were overall, tired and none too pleased to have visitors. I am sorry for them about this.

Brilliant location with spectacular ciews
Beds/pillows could be more comfortable. Room heating system not intuitive enough. Room temperatures swung between too cold and too hot before we learned what to do. Great staff!

Million dollar view
Million dollar view from a straightforward, clean hotel. Only issue is parking. If you have anything bigger than a small call don't bother coming into the old Town. Park in Plaza España And take a taxi up. Your room is perched on the edge of a 330 ft cliff... as in right on the edge... beautiful.

A view to stay for.
Loved it, Loved it. The most beautiful view from the terrace of our room. Had a wonderful made to order breakfast on the roof terrace on a beautiful day. Couldn't have been better. The staff were wonderful. Located just around the corner from two gorgeous on the square restaurants where we were welcomed and had a delicious dinner.

Great Views
The hotel has great views. It is very challenging to get to by car. we arrived on a Sunday afternoon and the road was closed to traffic up to the Parking lot square for the hotel. All the cafes made it impossible to drive up when we arrived. Driving in the old town if you are not experienced in driving under extreme tight roads, and you have a car larger than a mini, you might want to park at the outside of old town and take taxi.

Room was great with an excellent view. The area has limited public transportation and is more of a day trip in my opinion. Wifi in Europe hotela overall a little spotty in my opinion as welll.

A treasure in Arcos de la Frontera
El Convento is a wonderful, unique property located in a quaint pueblo. It is a little difficult to find, but worth the effort. Great location in old town with a breathtaking view from the terrace.
