      4/5 Good

      Bare bones, but okay

The set up of the facility is cool, the rooms are detached bungalows with an outdoor kitchenette. The grounds are beautiful. The 2 pools are very small. The staff was nice, but did not speak any English, just Spanish (FYI). We did not eat at the restaurant, instead choosing to go to Puerto Viejo, just because we liked the town. The room was tidy, but had problems with the shower head and handle on the toilet. The AC worked good. We were the only guests on the property (mid July 2018). The staff was sometimes hard to find. There is not a lot of service or amenities, but the staff was nice and the grounds are beautiful. This is a place to sleep, not luxuriate.

      3/5

      Intermittent Internet and barking dogs

Excellent and friendly staff. The grounds were pleasant, but the room looked a little tired and could use an update. The pillows contained chunks of foam which were somewhat uncomfortable. The WIFI connection was frequently weak and the internet unavailable. Being woken up in the middle of the night by the resident dogs' barking was very annoying.

      Hotel ok for the price

The only thing we didn't like it's that there were dogs poop everywhere on the lawn

      5/5 Excellent

      Great hotel with wonderful hosts

The hotel is a great family run hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hostess will cook breakfast and dinner for you. They also provide rides into Cahuita. The hotel is located on the main road between Cahuita and Pto Viejo

Pros: The hotel owners and staff

Location: The hotel is 1 km from Cahuita National Park entrance it is a $1 bus ride to either Cahuita or Pto Viejo. It offers a break from the noise of town

      5/5 Excellent

      Quiet, clean and comfortable

The hotel is between Cahuita and Puerto Viejo. The local bus stops at the entrance (less than $1 fare). A good place for R&R for the price!
