Usually stay at this property and this visit would possibly be our last . There were unruly guests that were in room beside us that forced us to vacate our room around 12am the nest morning - I was unable to get the required amount of sleep for my next days work . Unstaisfactory.

I really love Wahhna the receptionist as she's very kind, friendly and great too chat with and really looks after me. I heard that there was a break in and someone grabbed the master key and went thru the rooms...not sure if it's true or not.

We’ve just returned from a week at this hotel, not once did a cleaner come near our room. We put our bins outside the door, floor never vacuumed, sheets and towels never changed , we made our bed which is fine. Towels were so thin and stained I bought my own which I had to leave due to weight.Curtains were hanging off the tracks.

The lady, Wanna who was there was very polite and respectful..also had a wonderful smile and was very cherry too chat with...I would stay there everytime I flyout or flyin for my FIFO position..close too Balaclava In for a meal and entertainment..rooms were very comfortable also.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! We arrived after hours, as organised with staff over The phone even though it was hard to get through via phone. Upon arrival the place immediately didn’t feel right, or appear near as good as advertised! There was a smashed door on the outside of the property. We proceeded to the stairs to make our way up to the room, they were extremely dirty and stained, as well as rotting. We went to our room, and upon opening the door, the smell was horrific. The furniture was in poor condition and we left within 30 seconds! We sat outside in our car trying to book other accommodation. There was none available but we still refused to stay here due to it feeling extremely unsafe and the smell of the room being so revolting we would have ended up vomiting. We decided if it came to it we’d be safer and more comfortable sleeping in OUR CAR! We phoned the after hours number and were advised to hand the key into the after hours box and email the email address on the website stating we weren’t staying and why. We did this. Phoned the next morning to be told no refund and not allowed to speak with the manager! It’s against ‘policy’ to get a refund, even though Southside International AND Wotif broke the law (which trumps policy), by false advertising and not offering a safe or place to stay of reasonable standard. We fought this with Southside International and Wotif for multiple days! Neither were helpful or happy to negotiate. Off to ACCC we go!

Paid extra for the deluxe spa suite with a kitchenette. No mention of a shared patio with a foor that didnt lock through to the next room of strangers. The kitchenette was a terrible hot plate that didnt get a pan hot enough to cook bacon . Room didnt get serviced unless requested . Skip where take rubbish was constantly overflowing and filled by the neighborhood. Toenail clippings were found upon arrival in room . The windows were nailed shut and covered in graffiti which was also on a hanging picture and the coffee table .they charge like its a decent place . Dont be fooled.

The rooms are very dated and lack airflow, the room was messy, an old blanket on the beds caused itchyness and I felt like I was getting bites on my legs and body. The bathroom had no fan, the bathroom floor had water run the full way across, no actual shower area. Fan was covered in dust and I would not turn it on as it was layered on the fan blades. Staff reception staff were very lovely, and the on site parking was appreciated. Overall if I had known what I was going in to then fine, but I felt the photos did not match the property and the cancellation policy did not allow for me to have a change in mind.

Shower (cold water tap) not usable for the 3 days and had to ask for a plug to be able use the bath. Even though I received confirmation from Wotif that my booking and change of dates were correctly processed and paid for when I tried to confirm my booking with the motel the day before my expected arrival they had no record of me. However after phoning Wotif this was sorted.

It was unique alright........I have photos of TV plugs hanging out of the wall, a hole been punched in the bathroom door, fan not fixed properly to the ceiling, cheap thin bath towels, chair was falling apart, bed was so uncomfortable, no blankets and cold, pillows were absolutely disgusting. The carpets were filthy dirty and the fridge smelled of fish. The fridge was dirty, no shelves on the door and dead bugs around the bottom. Seriously, this place needs a makeover. It could be a really nice place. Its in an excellent spot on Mulgrave Road but crying out to have a makeover. Come on fellas......make the effort!

The room was at the front of the building facing the road. Spotlights shone into the room and the curtains were shorter than the windows and had No block out. Room next door had the TV on ALL night and was very very load.

I appreciated the staff to allow me to make changes on my plan when my diving tour cancelled. The room is pretty big with nearly all necessary facilities. However, it is a little old and some renovation would make it more attractive.

The air conditioner in my room cycled on and off constantly and sounded like waves lapping on the beach. It was a fantastic sound to fall asleep to and it continued all night long. Loved it!

While some aspects of the room were showing age and there was maintenance required, I really enjoyed my room and my stay at the motel. The rates of the room changed in flow with the seasons. I rented my room when the rates were lower and it was well worth it. Lovely staff who try their best for your stay to be the best it can be.
