Shower head broken and bathroom needs upgrading

Pros: price was OK, value of money. Location was good. but bathroom outdated
Cons: Some odd $1.04 costs on credit card account - don't know why
Location: all fine- restaurants, walking, clubs

Noisy and dated

Hotel located across the road from a night club. Had to change rooms due to smell. Hotel looks very dated.

Needs more than TLC

Needs work everywhere especially pool area is dangerous definitely not up to code Make sure you take a first aid kit

Terrible

Pros: Location!
Cons: Staff, rooms and trading hours of your restaurant and bar
I checked in and was appointed to level 4. I looked around and thought this is nothing like I saw on the Internet! The cupboard was falling to bits the balcony railing was about to collapse and the bathroom was disgusting. I called reception to ask where are the glass cups to have drinks and was told there are no glasses in these rooms unless you book level 9 and 10. She ended up transferring me to the kitchen and they said they will send them up. After waiting for a long time I ended up walking down to the kitchen where I found 2 woman who said sorry I was about to deliver the cups and she handed me the cups which were dirty so I told her to clean them! When I went back to the room we had a drink and I called reception and asked how much would it cost to upgrade to level 9 or 10 and she said an extra $20 which we did and when we got up there there was massive amounts of Mold on the curtains. The Luquid nightclub across the road could be heard playing music all night when the glass door was shut! There was a 21st part in the hotel bar was even louder but at least it ended at 12am! The bar only opens at 4pm. I am a priority reward member but I didn't have my card on me and reception couldn't look my name up so I didn't get the points, discount or bennifit so I will probably never book this place ever ever again.

Nice hotel with great views

The pool area and the pool itself is beautiful, and the view from the room was amazing. The queen beds we had need to be replaced as we sunk toward the middle (room 901). Room was clean and it was great having washing machine facilities available for use (at cost). Dryer was broken at the time. We would stay again.

Noisy dirty expensive

Don't stay here unless your a drunk teenager that wants to party all night definitely not an executive destination. Over priced for a hotel that's way overdue for renovation. I had to move rooms the day I arrived and left the hotel the next day. Aweful hotel don't stay here!

Overnight transit next day

Easy access to city

Pros: Pool and the bed
Cons: There was a scheduled power outage for the city block and staff didn't inform us so we got caught out processing data on the computer. curtains-crap!
Location: Good restaurants close by and the cairns esplanade facilities were right there
Fine. Staff courteous and helpful. Pool nice and clean. Bed very comfortable.

At Rydges Plaza the rooms are in dire need of reno

Pros: Breakfast was OK.
Cons: Rydges Plaza needs a complete renovation to update it to a satisfactory standard!!
Location: OK
The rooms are tired with cracked tiles in the bathroom, dated décor and even cheap plastic toilet seats!! I expected more from Rydges!!!

Location: We only stay 1 night but everything was great.As we had a Wedding near by.
