Pros: The staff was amazing and very welcoming. They each went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.
Cons: I was not aware of all the benefits the hotel offers so I was surprised how much was included in my stay for free. List all benefits on listing.
Location: Hotel is connected to shopping mall with Starbucks and other "American" stores. Hotel is also near the Egyptian Museum.
Fairmont Nile City was a beautiful hotel. I booked the signature room which allowed access to the Gold Lounge on the 15th floor. The Gold Lounge provides free wifi (free wifi also in hotel room), work space on 2nd level, free breakfast, free light lunch, and free happy hour light dinner (wine and beer included). All drinks throughout the day were free; juice, coffee, espressos..etc. On the 2nd floor there is a buffet breakfast available for free which was also great, which was open to all guests, the gold lounge is not open to all guests. The staff helped arrange a car to the airport (provided 2 free cold waters and cooling hand towels in route to airport) and assisted with reserving free 2 hour board room for meetings. I also had a massage from the spa, it was the best massage I've ever had. I highly recommend Fairmont Nile and hope to visit again.

Terrible ExperiencePosted Aug 10, 2015
ROOM SERVICE is equal to nil. The hotel is very dirty including its restaurants, Mosquitos in the restaurant were hundreds. Food is smelly and awful.

Spied on in roomPosted Jul 4, 2015
2 American women: We returned from the pool to find a couple hours later that our phone was in use and on speaker---who was on the other end? We don't know. It couldn't have been an accident, as pushing speaker means a loud dial tone. That night, a member of the staff came to the door with towels, unsolicited, at 11pm, and despite a do not disturb sign, knocked on the door. When he realized we were on the other side but not answering, he looked mad and ran off. Maybe the hotel should employ only women?

The hotel is new and part of Huge buildings owned by Egyptian millionaire. Unfortunately, the color of interior decoration is dark which I hate. I stayed in executive room, but it was very small compare to the name. The hotel is located in the front of the Nile River.

Beautiful hotel, fantastic experience!Posted Jun 3, 2015 on Hotels
On our trip to Egypt this year, we decided to fly into Cairo and stay for a couple of days on either side of our time in Marsa Alam. I chose to book our stay at the Fairmont Nile City based on its central location on the Nile and the reviews here on Hotels.com. I can not stress more greatly how wonderful an experience we enjoyed from beginning to end at the Fairmont Nile City. They even had a room ready for us at 7am when we arrived (I did inform them in advance that we would be early), which we appreciated after a 10.5 hour flight! The best part of our experience resulted from the fact that I booked an "executive" room rather than a standard one. We had not previously stayed in many Fairmont hotels so I hadn't appreciated that booking an executive room gave us access to the Fairmont Gold Lounge. Wow! What a stroke of luck! The lounge was beautiful and the staff there could not have done more to make us comfortable during our stay. The morning breakfasts were delicious and we were so exhausted at the end of each day in Cairo that the quiet food and drinks provided each evening gave us the perfect way to relax after a swim in the rooftop pool! Special thanks go to Alaa and the other staff in the Gold Lounge, as well as to George on the Sky Pool floor, who truly made us feel at home! We won't hesitate to stay in the Fairmont Nile City on our next trip to Cairo and we'll even consider staying in other Fairmont hotels based on this fabulous experience!

everything is great except receptionPosted May 1, 2015 on Hotels
For our biz trip, we could find chance to try skypool and spa, the facilities are great. Rooms are good and confortable. Location is 5 min walking distance to spectra restaurant where you can find anything to eat with reasonable prices and delicious. Just the problem with the hotel was reception staff as we read here before going. We just asked stamped invoice but all staff at reception reacted like we came from Mars. By our great insistence they had to do what we need with unwilling behaviors. They need more training on customer relationship issue.
