Worst Hotel Stay of my life

Pros: The chef Mohammed cooked very well and was super friendly.
Cons: The staff needs sensibility training, customer service training, and situation management training.
This was my worst stay at a hotel in my life. The check-in process was cumbersome and not warm at all. They made it difficult and then ended up putting us in a smoking room when we requested non-smoking, we then paid and upgraded to a suite. It went downhill from there. I called concierge to arrange a car hire for us to take a trip. The concierge then advised me that I had better leave the driver a generous tip. I have never been told to leave a tip in my life, and especially before service was rendered. We took a 2 hour drive to a meeting I had at a farm, I left my purse in the car with the driver since we we're gonna be looking at plants and trees in the farm. When the trip was finished and we pull up to my hotel, I realize I had been robbed of 1,500 EGP. The driver stole it and the hotel staff came out and made it seem that I did something wrong, they said "We have known this driver for 6 years, we trust him..we don't know you" The concierge then went on to tell me that I owed 500 EGP bc the driver drove an extra 30 minutes to the farm. This was strange bc while we were at the farm, the concierge called and told me that they would cover the extra 30 min fuel and cost and they just wanted me to have a good time. I never got my 1,500 EGP back and didn't get an apology at all. Also, housekeeping is terrible, I called at 10am for my room to be cleaned, I come back after shopping at 6pm and my room had not been touched. Avoid this hotel if you can.

Very nice hotel with a Nile view

One of the best locations. Very nice and kind staff, specially room service and breakfast lounge. Breakfast is great with a great variety of delicious items. Flawless! Very good and comfortable room with a view to the Nile. Bathtub/shower is kind of open to bathroom and doesnt have enough glass to keep it divided. Everytime I was taking shower, bathroom got full of water. Better take a taxi in front of hotel, I tried Uber unsuccessfully. Somehow its hard for them to reach hotel because of street directions. I got three Uber calls cancelled by the drivers.

Central Location

Pros: Having a pool.
Cons: Pool staff informing my grandchildren no jumping in the pool as it made the floor wet....................there was a sign no diving or running. .
Location: Central, shops down town , musuem not far.
Pleasant enough hotel to stay in , had to change my room as it was not the room I had booked. I enjoyed my stay as it was local to where I wanted to be. Room service was excellant, really enjoyed the breakfast.

Do not recommend hotel

The receptionist tried to give me a tiny room with no balcony and Nile view although my reservation stated so. Then bargained to give me a suite with City view. I had to call the manager to get my room. You need to insist on getting the room you reserved. Room service always missed some item you asked for.Location is good.

A Convenient Location with Good Views

Pros: The jazz bar in the top floor was excellent: wonderful views, high quality décor and superb service. The live music was of a very high quality.
Cons: Some of the staff had very poor English. When I arrived early in the morning, there was a period when there were no staff on the front desk.
Location: The location was good but the road outside the hotel is busy and the hotel has no grounds or garden. there are few shops of restaurants nearby.
The location of the hotel is good with excellent views over the Nile. the room I had was comfortable, however the carpet was dirty and some aspects of the bathroom were a bit worn. The pool on the roof is very small and the facilities are not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel. This was also spoilt by a lot of poorly supervised children. I don't understand how this fitted with the health spa- which I would expect to be an exclusively adult offering.

Tried them once...not again

Pros: Very clean and polite staff. The food is good.
Cons: The staff is slow and poorly organized especially at the reception desk.
Location: Poor location , nothing around and no parking for the hotel. This is why the 2 restaurants in the hotel were empty all the time, no parking .
I arrived in the evening after a 27 hour journey exhausted. I went to bed and was woken up at 30 minutes passed midnight when the reception called my room to ask me if has ordered Mc Donalds....Unbelievable. I prepay ed with Orbitz for the 2 nights , and they requested that I put a deposit of $200 to cover breakfast and meals billed to my room and that was OK by me. However they never credited me the difference on the $200 at checkout although they said they would and on top of that they billed me 364 USD for the room on my CC. So I paid double. Finally one hour after I left I realized that I left my charger in the room. I called them and they called me back saying they got and it would be waiting for me at the reception when I would return there 4 days later to stay the night. Well of course when I went to ask for it nobody knew where it was ....bottom line after returning 3 times with a 5 hours span they still had not found it..Ridiculous and rather sad. .

Everything was outstanding, except for one thing. I had a very important meeting early in the morning and i had to go to bed early. Only to get a call from the kitchen at 3 am in the morning by mistake. And of course couldn't go back to sleep afterwards.
