Not acceptable of a Le Meridien

Location is convenient to sightseeing, the staff is friendly, and the sheets are clean. The rest was terribly disappointing. And not at all worth the price.
The upholstery is old and filthy. WiFi is close to non-existent and not free in your room. I don't know that they should advertise WiFi as a facility, let alone demand payment for it, because even the paid for version was quite sad. The food is substandard at best. The staff, while pleasant and friendly, seem to need updated training. For instance, they cannot explain the bills they ask you to sign for room service. The beds are uncomfortable and lumpy.
What was really annoying to me was that this hotel comes with a Le Meridien price tag but only meets the standards of a 3 Star hotel. If I was paying for a 3 Star hotel, I'd have no complaints. But having paid so much more, I am quite disappointed.
Whether you are looking for a basic hotel or a fancy one, I recommend you book elsewhere so you can get a decent value for your money.

Thank you for your comments following your recent stay at Le Méridien Pyramids Hotel & Spa. I would, first of all, like to reiterate my sincere apologies for the inconvenience and upset you were caused.
I would also like to apologize for the fact that the internet connection is not up to the standard. Our services are currently provided by a third party, which was contracted a number of years ago. This contract is, however about to terminate and I do assure you that we are actively perusing alternative options, which will enable us to offer this service to our clients in future at a substantially improved connection speed.
You may be interested to know that hotel is about to undergo a comprehensive refurbishment program and that the hotel has recently engaged the service of a Training Director who has considerable international experience. His role will focus on improving the quality of services offered to our guests, particularly in Food & Beverage.
It is my hope that these events will not permanently mar your opinion of our hotel and that you will return to us again, when I am sure you will remember your stay for all the right reasons.
