Terrible WIFI room connection. Called the front desk and they have no clue what they were talking about. dissatisfied.

Close to pryamids

One of the only good things about the hotel is the proximity to the pryamids. The garden pool area was nice. Overall the hotel was dirty and our room was dirty, stains on the walls and in the bathroom, dusty, dirty bathroom. Wifi is only available in common areas and the even then the wifi signal was horrible I don't recommend arranging transportation from the airport through the hotel. They charge almost double what a regular cab was charging from the airport. There are a few little gift shops in the hotel that have more reasonable prices than gift shops out in town If you are arranging a pryamids tour through the hotel please be very specific about what you want or don't want. We were taken to the area where we were told the only way in was to ride a horse or camel and had to pay a lot more for it. Had we known we would have preferred to be dropped off at the main entrance and walked in on our own

Great Location and Staff

Pros: Great food and service, nothing too much trouble for the staff. Excellent taxi desk too - wonderful helpful drivers.
Cons: Yes, the hotel is dated in places. However our room was spotless and well serviced. Any ageing was more than made up for by the attitude of the staff.
Location: Great for all Giza and the Pyramids. Camel and Quad trips.
Great location, handy for Pyramids and the motorway network. Superb, helpful, friendly staff. Loved every minute.

Hotel needs renovation

i checked out after 1 day and went to Le Meridien.Mercure room is small and dark, light bulbs busted,furnitures worn out. aircoditioning not cooling, tv not working,carpets in hall ways and room full off stains. When i called reception for all my inconveniences, their only answer was that they can't do anything until tomorrow. So i checked out and went to Le Meridien which is was very good.

Great Hotel

Pros: The knowledge of the Hotel Taxi driver. He took us around all the major sight seeing places in Cairo/Giza

Decent value but not great

Hotel was clean but dated. A pretty good value. Nice grounds with a pool and kids play area. The restaurants weren't great but breakfast buffet was really good. We had a horrible time trying to check in and it took over an hour. Staff were a little rude. Staff in the spa were creepy.

Definitely not a five star hotel!

The lifts didn't work, the internet is only available in the reception area (and you have to be sitting in a certain position!),cold food with poor selection for breakfast, air con didn't work,staff expected us to find our way to our room with our luggage which was a 5min walk away,fridge was filthy and water wasn't provided unless you asked for it in the room.
